10 Amazing Food Places In El Paso

These amazing food places in El Paso can’t be missed! Next time you’re in the city, you absolutely have to check some of these out!

Carlos And Mickey’s

Los Bandidos de Carlos and Mickey’s is staple in El Paso. It has been around for over 65 years, and if you haven’t been there yet, you are definitely missing out! It is known for its authentic Mexican cuisine, cantina style bar, and delicious margaritas. If you’re feeling ambitious, try the Texas Margarita, 44 oz of tequila-y goodness! I suggest you share it with a friend, or your mom… or have an Uber on standby!

Ardovino’s

Ardovino’s is hands down the best pizza place in El Paso! While that statement may be subjective, the deliciousness of Ardovino’s is not! All of their pizza’s are made with a thin, flaky crust, and your choice of fresh toppings. Start with a family style salad (my favorite is the Garden Green), then get down on some pizza! They also have an extensive wine and imported beer selection to pair with your pizza of choice.

L&J’s

Another favorite for authentic Mexican food in El Paso, L&J’s has been around for almost a century! Yes, you read that correctly, a century! Aside from all of the delicious Mexican cuisine, L&J’s is known as “The Old Place By the Graveyard” giving it a distinctive character all its own. Go for the food and stay for its historic, inviting atmosphere.

Tabla

Tabla’s romantic and cozy ambiance makes it the perfect date night or friend’s night out spot. Most dishes are served tapas style, so everyone in your party can order something different, then you all share. That is the easiest way to work your way through Tabla’s amazing menu. Continue on with this sharing theme and split a bottle of wine, or keep the sharing to the food and get your own cocktail, they have a sizable selection.

Wing Daddy’s

If you’re in the mood for some wings, chances are Wing Daddy’s is one of the first places that pops into your head. With a pretty impressive, lengthy list of flavors, and a nice draft beer selection, there’s something for everyone! Not in the mood for wings? Try the fried shrimp, or a giant burger! Whatever you decide, I’d add a side on honey hot, you won’t regret it!

Crave

With menu options ranging from Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffles, to Ahi Tuna Tostadas, to Green Chile Mac and Cheese, there’s options to satisfy all cravings (pun intended). Crave’s unique atmosphere is perfect whether you want to get all dressed up, or are having a t-shirt and jeans kind of day. Some of their locations also have patios with fire pits for patio-dining year round. Go for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner, they do it all!

Track One

Set up in three old railroad cars, the atmosphere alone puts Track One on another level. Add in some killer wings, steaks, sandwiches, and a full bar and you’ve got an unbeatable restaurant. Is it any wonder it’s been around since the 1970’s. I suggest getting there early though, the wait times can get pretty long.

Chico’s Tacos

Is there anything more iconic in El Paso than Chico’s Tacos? Built on the simple, yet ingenious way they prepare rolled tacos, in tomato sauce, topped with cheese, and green chili salsa. So simple, so mouthwatering! Now the only question is do you get a single, a double, two singles so your double doesn’t get soggy? With enough Chico’s Tacos to go around, does it really matter?

Sunny’s Sushi

Sunny’s Sushi is a choice spot when you are craving some sushi. Whether you opt for the traditional Nigiri sushi or go for a hand roll, you will not be disappointed. And while sushi is the main draw, they also offer a wide variety of seafood, Korean food, and steak.

Frisco Burger

Frisco’s is designed like an old fashion burger joint, and their burgers definitely deliver! What makes this diamond in the rough even more inviting? Their equally good oriental food. They’ve got egg rolls, they’ve got burgers, they’ve got competitive prices, what more is left to be desired?
