Going to brunch has become the kickstart to the weekend. You can wake up on a Saturday or Sunday morning and indulge in Belgian waffles, omelets, and other delicious breakfast foods. And with the Bay Areas rich diversity, love of culture, and sense of consciousness comes a wide variety of amazing restaurants to have brunch. No matter what you have a taste for, we have it. Here are some amazing brunch spots in the Bay Area worth trying.

Eve’s Waterfront

If you’re looking to eat with a view, Eve’s Waterfront will not disappoint. Located in Oakland’s Jack London Square area, this restaurant provides quality food, service, and a delightful atmosphere. Boasting panoramic views, wrap-around decks, indoor/outdoor seating, and live music, this is a must try brunch spot in the Bay Area. There weekend brunch menu includes an a la carte menu on Saturday with dishes ranging from $8 to $35, and a premium waterfront brunch buffet on Sunday’s for $50 per guest, $24 for children under 12. The premium brunch buffet includes a welcome cocktail or non alcoholic beverage. Plus, you can add bottomless mimosas to your order both days for $15. Saturday brunch is from 11am to 4pm and Sunday’s brunch buffet is from 10am to 2pm.

The Breakfast Club At Midtown

The perfect all-American brunch spot in the Bay Area is The Breakfast Club At Midtown. Offering breakfast, brunch and lunch all day every day in San Jose. Bring your appetites because the portions are enormous. There menu includes eggs Benedicts and omelets, towering pancakes and fried chicken, and piled high waffles, all ranging from $11 to $30. The only drawback is the hour plus wait time, but if great food and great service is what you’re looking for, they’re worth the wait. Brunch hours are  7am to 3pm daily.

Cana Cuban Parlor and Cafe

Cana Cuban Parlor and Café incorporates authentic Cuban recipes with a touch of California’s organic farming. Their brunch menu includes signature Cuban dishes such as churrasco y huevos ($20), plantain con huevo ($15), lechon sliders ($12), boniato home fries ($3), and empanadas ($12-$13). The base of much of their cooking are sofrito, mojo and verde sauces. This high-casual Lakeshore restaurant has all the works, from a lengthy menu, bottomless mimosas, live music, and a lake view. It is a must try if you’re in the Oakland area. Brunch hours are Saturday and Sunday 10:30am to 3pm.

Straw

If you’re looking to eat outside of the box, Straw is the restaurant for you. A carnival themed circus inspired eatery offering brunch seven days a week! Dig into their donut breakfast sandwich ($14), fried chicken and waffles ($16), huevos rancheros ($15) and much more. Located in Hayes Valley, San Francisco, this fun restaurant is worth a try. Brunch hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 2pm and Saturday-Sunday 9am to 3pm.

The Pink Elephant Alibi

If you’re looking for a brunch party, this is the only place that will do. The Pink Elephant Alibi is the most unique, diverse, and fun bottomless mimosa brunch spot in the Bay Area. Located in the SOMA district, this brunch experience is a party worth attending every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They have bottomless mimosas ($23) in almost any flavor, French toast ($17), corned beef ($18), and much more. Brunch hours are Friday 11am to 2pm and Saturday-Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Farmer Brown

If you’re looking for a soul food brunch spot in the Bay Area, this is the place to be. With locally-sourced seasonal ingredients, west coast freshness and time-honored southern recipes from the Creoles to the Carolinas, Farmer Brown is a perfect southern homage. Enjoy their brunch buffet ($27.95) with fried chicken, Cajun potatoes, country scrambled eggs, cornmeal catfish, and much more. Or you can enjoy their a la carte menu with selections like their fried catfish sandwich ($15.95) or their mushroom scramble ($15.50). Located in San Francisco, brunch hours are Saturday and Sunday 9am to 2:30pm.

Bette’s Oceanview Diner

Family owned and run since 1982, this Berkeley restaurant is famous for their pancakes, be they buttermilk, gingerbread, cottage cheese, or pumpkin, and all of their baked goods. Their lemon currant scones, blueberry, bran and donut muffins (rolled in butter then cinnamon sugar). At Bette’s Oceanview Diner you can eat good and listen to music from a 1957 jukebox. Hours are 6:30am to 4pm.

Locanda

On Saturday and Sunday mornings, this restaurant is a can’t-miss brunch experience in San Francisco. Locanda isn’t the place you’d consider when craving buttermilk pancakes and classic egg dishes, but their Roman roots and flavors make for some great brunch dishes. Their eggs benedict carbonara ($17) is by far one of the best eggs benedict in the Bay Area, they also have a savory porridge ($15), and latke-style hash browns ($6). Brunch hours are 10:30am to 2pm.
