10 Air Fryer Recipes You’ll Want To Try Making

You might ask why you need air fryer recipes. Well if you actually have an air fryer, there’s a reason right there, otherwise here’s another reason: the air fryer has the ability to make many of your favorite dishes with significantly lower fat. You don’t need as much to cook the food, which makes the air fryer a somewhat healthier alternative to a deep fryer. While these 10 air fryer recipes may not be the healthiest options, they’re everyone’s favorites with significantly less fat. They aren’t dietary per se, but you know… baby steps, right?

1. Glazed Doughnut Holes

What better first selection for our air fryer recipes than doughnut holes? With this, you can make a delicious pile of the tasty little bastards for any morning occasion, or I suppose for dinner too if you hate yourself. Serve with whipped cream over fruit preserves and you’ve got yourself a seriously sweet breakfast.

2. Air-fried Ravioli

Refrigerated ravioli

3 cups of Italian breadcrumbs

2 eggs (whisked in a bowl)

2 tablespoons of Italian herbs (dried or fresh chopped)

2 tablespoons of garlic powder

2 tablespoons of onion powder

Parmesan, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Mix breadcrumbs, parmesan, herbs, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Coat the basket of your air fryer with cooking spray and preheat to 400 degrees.

Coat your ravioli in the whisked egg.

Toss the dipped ravioli in the breadcrumb mixture until well coated.

Throw your ravioli into the air fryer for about 3 minutes, or until toasty and golden.

Serve with a cup of marinara sauce (pre-bottled or homemade) for dipping, or over a shallow pool of it in a bowl.

Top with a bit more parmesan and serve!

3. Air-fried Chickie Nuggies

Whether you’re a baby Yoda enthusiast, or just don’t feel like starting your life on a healthy note, this is one addition to our list of air fryer recipes that you won’t want to miss out on! These nuggets are especially tasty because they have pickle juice in them, though you can certainly forgo this in exchange for more buttermilk if you’re really against the idea. Serve with BBQ sauce, honey mustard, ketchup, ranch or whatever else you want!

4. Air-fried Fruit Pies

Refrigerated pie crusts

1 can of pie filling (apple, blueberry, blackberry, cherry, pumpkin, or whatever else you want, or a combo if you wish)

1 stick of butter, melted

2 tablespoons of cinnamon

2 tablespoons of sugar

Ice cream and/or whipped cream

Directions:

Mix cinnamon and sugar in a cup.

Preheat air-fryer to 360 degrees.

Roll out your pie crust over a layer of flour. Flatten out and cut the crust into 2 1/4 inch circles.
Scoop a spoonful of pie filling on top of half of the pie crust circles that you created.

On top of the filling place the other half of the pie crust circles and seal the two sides together with a fork around the edge.

Brush on the melted butter, then sprinkle on the cinnamon sugar.

Place in the air-fryer for about 6 minutes, or until the crusts become a warm golden brown.

Serve with whipped cream and/or ice cream and enjoy!

5. Air-fried Breakfast Bombs

A portable pouch stuffed with all the protein-filled goodness of breakfast! Follow the recipe to the letter or add other ingredients as your taste buds deem necessary.

6. Ham and Egg in a Hole

This addition to our air fryer recipes is a simple protein boost perfect for any time of day, though let’s be honest, it’s more of a breakfast than anything. You’ll only need these few ingredients:

2 sandwich bread slices

1 handful of shredded cheese of your choice (namely Colby jack, pepper jack, or cheddar cheese)

2 eggs

2 slices of sandwich-sliced ham

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Cut egg yolk sized holes into the bread and ham slices.

Coat the inside of the air fryer with cooking spray or melted butter and preheat to 350 degrees.

Place the slices of bread into the air fryer, and the ham on top of the bread. Then break the eggs into the holes (if it overflows a bit it’s okay) and add salt and pepper to taste.

Cook for about 5 minutes. From here, flip your slices over, throw on the cheese and more salt and pepper if need be. Let cook for another 4 minutes.

Serve and enjoy!

7. Air-fried Pork Chops

8. Air-fryer Mozzarella Sticks

A quick snack or a tasty appetizer, these mozzarella sticks are a must-have for our air fryer recipes. To make it you’ll only need a few ingredients:

1 pack of mozzarella cheese sticks, broken in half

2 cups of Italian breadcrumbs

1/2 cup of white flour

2 tablespoons of Italian herbs

1 tablespoon of garlic powder

2 eggs, beaten

Salt and pepper to taste

Parmesan cheese for garnish

Directions:

Mix the breadcrumbs, flour, herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper together in a bowl.

Dip your cheese stick halves into the beaten eggs and then breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.

Place mozzarella sticks onto a baking sheet with a layer of cooking parchment and freeze for 1 hour.

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees and coat with cooking oil.

One heated, place the mozzarella sticks within and cook for 4 minutes. Then flip the mozzarella sticks and cook for another 4-5 minutes.

Garnish with parmesan cheese and serve with a cup of marinara sauce or ranch.

9. Air-fried Churros

A perfect dessert to finish a successful taco night – sweet, cinnamon and sugar – caked churros! Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, chocolate sauce, or whatever else you want! It’s your world!

10. Air-fried Rice

When it comes to air fryer recipes, nothing beats fried rice as a side dish, a quick carb boost, or a sad sad breakfast. What’s more, it’s absolutely perfect for getting rid of Chinese food leftovers! For this quick and easy dish, you’ll need the following ingredients:

2 cups of leftover white rice

2 tablespoons of soy sauce

1 tablespoon of vegetable or coconut oil

2 tablespoons of chicken broth

1 egg, beaten

1/2 bag of frozen peas and carrots, thawed

1 squirt of sriracha sauce

1 can of bamboo shoots

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped green onion for garnish

Directions:

Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees.

Toss rice, oil, and chicken broth in a separate bowl, along with salt and pepper to taste.

Dump the bowl into the fryer basket and cook for about 5 minutes, then stir and allow to cook for another 5-6 minutes or until the rice is golden brown.

Add vegetables, bamboo, siracha, and soy sauce. Then add egg, stirring as you lightly pour in the beaten egg.

Allow to cook for another 4 minutes or until the egg is cooked.

If you have leftover meats from your Chinese food feast from the previous night, feel free to throw that in on the last 2 minutes.

Mix in your chopped green onion and serve!
