5 Affordable And Exciting Things To Do With Your Friends

“So, what do you want to do?” No matter how strong your friendship is, this dreaded question is sure to pop up. It’s always really hard to pick something everyone will enjoy, especially if you don’t know each other that well. Check out these 5 things to do with your friends for some inspiration!

1. Go to a museum and make the trip more exciting according to your group

For example, if your friends are on the nerdier side, separate to explore the museum, have each one take pictures of their top 3 favorite things (if allowed) and then regroup and share what each person liked and why over some snacks or lunch. You’ll learn a lot about each other and learn about different perspectives. Take public transportation to make the day cheaper and more exciting.

2. Invite everyone over to help you make a meal

You can have a theme and each friend can bring certain ingredients. If someone is better at baking, they can definitely do that too! Even if your kitchen isn’t that big, everyone can spread out and this is a great bonding experience. Make sure to choose recipes that don’t have hard to find or expensive ingredients so everyone can pitch in. This is also a great way to try new cuisines and it’s a lot more affordable compared to eating out.

3. Play a childhood sport together

If you have a large group of friends, you can find a park nearby and gather to play dodgeball, soccer, basketball, or whatever the majority enjoy. Nobody has to be good at it and it ends up being more fun because of that, especially at night. You only need a one-time investment in the equipment for countless days of fun. This is also more inclusive compared to video games. Besides, it’s important to have a fun workout sometimes!

4. Learn about something new together

You can teach each other about something from your field, such as a nurse teaching everyone CPR or a youtuber teaching everyone how to edit videos properly. The best thing is to learn something no one knows anything about, for example going to a mosque or a church to really see what it’s like inside (with an open mind of course.) There are so many things to do with your friends that can also be beneficial for your health and mind!

5. Volunteer together

Find something that everyone is passionate about and volunteer at the event. This is totally free and can end up with everyone getting lots of free stuff too, especially if you volunteer at marathons. It doesn’t hurt at all and you can spend as little or as much time volunteering as possible. Helping out with your friends is always more fun.

In order to have fun and create memorable moments, you have to put in some effort! You won’t regret trying any of these things with your friends!
