A Day In The Life Of A Student At University Of Pittsburgh

mm
Look inside to the daily schedule of a typical student at the University of Pittsburgh if you want to see what a regular day for a current student is like.

Coming into college, I was extremely nervous that finding my “routine” would be difficult because classes are so spread out. Fortunately, I learned quickly that my schedule would fluctuate day to day and it’s actually pretty nice. Here is a typical Monday in the life of me, a freshman, Communication major at the University of Pittsburgh!

8:15 a.m.

Pretty early wake up I know. Thankfully, I am not one to sleep in much so I hardly ever sleep through my alarm. First thing I do is roll out of bed and head over to the bathroom down the hall to wash my face and brush my teeth. Then, I go back to my room and start getting ready. After that, I make my bed. College hack: if you make your bed every morning, there is less of a chance that you climb back in!

9:15 a.m.

By now, I am normally done ready getting, so I just hang out for a little bit. I am not a big breakfast eater so I mostly just have a granola bar and watch some Netflix until it is time to go to class.

Time to head over to Communication Process! This is my first class of the day at the University of Pittsburgh.

11:00 a.m.

Out of class and now I go back to my room for a little while. Usually, I get some work done, catch up on reading assignments etc.

1:00 p.m.

Lunchtime! The cafe on the ground floor of the Cathedral at the University of Pittsburgh is always a go-to for me. They have amazing salads that I eat basically every day. Unless of course, the Chick-fil-A calls me over.

After lunch, I go back to the room and try to get as much work down as possible, so I don’t have to stay up all night long

4:00 p.m.

Last class of the day, Forensic Anthropology!

6:00 p.m.

Dinner time! My friends and I will almost always head over to the dining hall and grab some pasta or whatever the special is for the day.

Grind time! The freshman 15 has nothing on me. I walk up to the Pete on upper campus of University of Pittsburgh and get a good workout in to burn all that pasta that I had for dinner!

After the gym and showering, I normally just get ready for bed. If I have any homework that is due the next day that I have not done yet then I will work on that. Since it is a Monday, my roommate and I have no pressing shows to watch, so we normally just have “Friends” on as background noise.

I try my best to be in bed by this time so I can get ready for my classes on Tuesday!

Mondays are one of my easier days because of the long break that I have in between classes. However, I always take advantage of that time to get work done for my other classes so that I have more free time toward the end of the week! 10/10 would recommend giving yourself a break in your schedule, so you don’t overwork yourself at the University of Pittsburgh.
