Bake Cookies
Galentine’s Day is the perfect day to dedicate to baking all your favorite treats together! Especially with the atmosphere of love—and friendship—in the air, heart shaped sugar cookies are definitely the way to go.
Here’s a simple recipe you can follow! You’ll need the following ingredients:
Cookies:
- 4 cups of flour
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup of sugar
- ½ cup of light corn syrup
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
Icing:
- 2 ½ cups of powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons of milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Red food coloring (optional)
Start by creaming the butter and sugar together until it is fluffy, and then add your egg, corn syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Make sure this is well mixed and then begin to add the flour one cup at a time to the mixture (while beating in between each addition). Put in the salt, as well.
Once your mix is done, roll it out on a countertop sprinkled with flour and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to get your shapes. Place these on a baking sheet and bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-12 minutes.
When you make the icing, simply beat all the ingredients together until it is smooth. Wait for the cookies to cool, and then spread some glaze onto each cookie. Now you have some adorable, heart cookies to enjoy with your girls!
Craft Night
If sitting back and watching a movie isn’t really your friends’ style, try hosting a craft night instead! You can do any sort of D.I.Y. activity that you and your friends might enjoy, or you could all make cute, handmade Valentines for one another! This is a fun way to enjoy a stimulating activity together, chat, and just celebrate your friendship together.

You can customize this day however you’d like, and you’ll ve sure to get tons of rest and relaxation with your besties.
Old School Sleepover
Remember in middle school when you and all your girlfriends would gather around in a sleeping bag circle to talk about boys, eat popcorn, and play truth or dare? This is something most of us tend to age out of but try going back to your childhood roots and have a slumber party for Galentine’s Day! Those middle school moments don’t have to be over, and it will be a fun trip down memory lane for both you and your friends.
Game Night
Hosting a game night for all your friends can be an absolute blast! You can get really fun and crazy by playing games like “Cards Against Humanity” and “For The Girls,” or you can opt for a chill night with some “Scrabble” and “Clue.” You can also do some get-to-know-you type games or games that will test how well you know your friends! No matter what you do with this idea, you can make it super fun and just enjoy a wild—or chill—Galentine’s night.
Go On A Trip Or Staycation
Especially if you’re a bunch of single ladies and don’t plan on celebrating any aspect of Valentine’s Day, use Galentine’s Day as an excuse to plan a fun trip or staycation all together! You can find cheap flights around this time of year, and if you’re all splitting the cost of a hotel or Airbnb, you can do this in a pretty affordable way.
You also don’t have to fly anywhere in order to take a little trip; simply spend a night or two in your city at a fancy hotel and just enjoy the getaway. It can be a nice diversion from everyday life, and it will be extra fun with your best friends. This can be the ultimate Galentine’s Day—it’s all about how you choose to spend it!
