70s Winter Fashion Looks To Recreate Now

With the weather changing it’s time to start planning your winter fashion looks. As the weather changes the fashion scene changes as well. Fashion changes with the times but lately knew fashion has just been recycling of old fashion trends. The 70s have been making a huge comeback in fashion from bellbottoms to gogo boots. The 70s are going to be a huge inspiration for these upcoming winter fashion looks.

High Waist Bellbottoms

High waisted pants are starting to resurface as fewer and fewer people wear low rise jeans. High waist bellbottoms are being used for casual attire. They’re great to wear with your faux fur vest and turtle neck. You can keep it simple by wearing it with an oversized sweater or a graphic tee shirt. Channel your inner Farrah Fawcett when you put on your bellbottoms.

Jumpsuits

I think jumpsuits have never gone out of style. Jumpsuits are my go-to outfit when it comes to winter fashion looks. They are just really easy to wear and can be worn casually or professionally all depending on how you dress it. To reach peak 70s attire try to find a denim jumpsuit with wide pants, always wide pants. The 70s has a lot of wide or bigger sized attire so the wider the pant, the better. By wearing a basic black jumpsuit you can pop on a basic blazer and you’re business casual. Jumpsuits just have unlimited possibilities when it comes to fashion and this winter they’ll be your best friend when you want an easy look to go out in.

Ponchos

I never thought I’d see the day that ponchos would come back in style. Ponchos have grown on me as one of the winter fashion looks that I just might try out for myself. Crotched ponchos are the prettiest ones to me personally because I find them unique and they always have fun designs. If you want to get a full 70s look with your poncho then wear them with a long basic skirt. Ponchos are great for those winter days that aren’t cold enough for a jacket. They are just perfect for that sweater weather. The best thing about ponchos is that they can be worn as a shirt or jacket, it’s the best of both worlds.

Overall Dress

Another one of the winter fashion looks I think never left the fashion scene. It is also an outfit that is in fashion all year round. Pair this look with a long-sleeve turtle neck and bright colored stockings. This is also a great outfit to wear with your mary-janes that are going to contrast with the bright stockings. Usually, I like to go for a plaid or printed overall dress and keep my stockers and shirt basic. You can also do the opposite and get a plain overall dress and wear colorful or printed stockings and shirt.

Single Tone Outfit

This is more of a color scheme for your winter fashion looks. Today you can buy full outfits online that are one color tones. This was popularized by wearing long sweaters and long shirts to get that singular color tone dressed look. It’s a unique color scheme that you don’t see that much of but is starting to come back as winter comes closer. It’s so easy to wear because all you have to wear is a clothing of the same color. The colors people would usually go for in the 70s with this look are beige, brown, red, mostly earthy warm tones. Today you can do any color of the rainbow, especially since fashion is all about expression, whats more expressive than fun colored looks.

Matching Suit Combo

Perfect for work and going out the power suit is making a big comeback. Have fun with it by getting a plaid suit combo or go classic and get a navy or black set. You’re going to feel like a powerhouse in this outfit. You don’t have to worry about shoulder pads, you can just get a more lax looking suit for a more business casual look. It’s easier now for women to get these suit combos because it’s become normalized to see women in suits. Pair it with a basic blouse and strappy heels. Be the boss that you know you are with this outfit.

GoGo Boots

GoGo boots are probably my dream pair of shoes and I am so excited for their come back this winter. Why wear those knee-high boots when you can get some GoGo’s and look so chic. Out of all the winter fashion looks GoGo boots are the most out there in my opinion. Popularized in the 60s and 70s GoGo boots are just the perfect touch to complete any outfit. They are great for going out dancing or for a fun night out. Wear them to your next karaoke night and sing your Dancing Queen heart out.

Blazer

Classic, simple, and oh-so-chic a basic blazer is a great addition to your winter fashion looks. You can literally throw this over any outfit and give it that sharp edge. You can wear a blazer over your jumpsuit or pair it with your bellbottom outfit. Regardless the blazer is going to add that little something extra to your outfit. A blazer is a great way to turn a look from casual to business casual. Wear it to cover your outfit up for work then you can take it off and you’re ready for a night out. It’s always good to keep a basic blazer in your wardrobe because it’s a fashion staple that can go with almost anything.

Bougie and fabulous, a faux fur jacket is just what you need this winter to feel classy and beautiful. With so many different kinds of faux fur jackets, you’ll be set for any of your winter fashion looks. You can get a plain jacket that has fur at the collar or a full jacket covered in faux fur. Personally, I like the fur-collared look just because it’s a little more laid-back which is more me.
