10 Drink Recipes To Enjoy By The Pool

Summer is here and the weather is heating up! If you’re lucky enough to have a pool or even have a friend with a pool, you are going to have a great summer. What is a pool day without some cocktails? I can see it now. An ice-cold pool filled with floats of all different shapes, colors, and sizes. A cute bikini, some good music, even better friends, and one of these drinks in your hand.

Even if you don’t have a pool, lay outside in a bathing suit with one or two of these drinks and have someone spray you with a hose every so often. After a few of these drinks, you won’t know the difference anyway!

Here are some drink recipes to whip up and enjoy poolside!

2. Raspberry Lemonade

Nothing pairs better with a hot summer day than an ice-cold glass of lemonade. Add some excitement to your glass by adding some raspberry flavor and some extra fun! This recipe that I am referencing doesn’t include alcohol. But when I make it, I like to follow the recipe and then add about 2-3 shots of Pink Whitney into the mixture!

3. Pool Party Punch

A very appropriate drink recipe for this list. This another lemonade themed drink, so it’s perfect for a day by the pool. I mean, duh, it’s in the name! Not only is it fun to drink, its even more fun to look at! Its blue color is eye-catching and will have you confused as to what’s the pool and what is your drink! The blue color comes from the blue curacao liqueur. Yum! Try this one out ar your next pool party and you are guaranteed an invite to everyone’s pool all summer!

This is my all-time favorite poolside drink recipe. Hippie juice is an incredible mixture of Watermelon vodka, Triple Sec, Malibu, powder pink lemonade mix, water, and freshly chopped strawberries. This sweet cocktail will surely have you as mellowed out as a hippie in no time! Such a fun and refreshing flavor combination for a hot day. Serve it in a mason jar if you want to feel really retro!

6. Salty Dog

This drink will send you to a tropical island somewhere far away from work and COVID-19 and any stress you’ve ever encountered. It definitely has magical powers to do that. For this one, you’ll need grapefruit juice, lemon-lime soda, salt, vodka, and something cute for a garnish. So simple, yet so satisfying on a hot day! Salty Dog is pink and so cute for fun pool pictures! No drinking and swimming! We don’t need any accidents.

10. Orange Dirty Shirly

I am SO excited to try this one. Shirley Temples are my favorite drink of all time. I am a 22-year-old woman and I still order them out restaurants. When I discovered there was an alcoholic version of a Shirley Temple, I just about lost my mind. And now they want to add orange?! I am IN. This is going to be my poolside drink of the summer, I can feel it in my bones already. This heavenly concoction consists of orange vodka, sprite, and grenadine. That’s literally it.
