10 Products Every Woman Needs If You Commute To Work

Commuting can be a hassle, and quite honestly sometimes it just plain sucks. If you commute to work, try these 10 products to make your commute slightly less sucky.

1) Car Diffuser

Just because your commute stinks doesn’t mean your car has to. Chances are if you commute to work, you spend a decent amount of time in your car. You probably consume at least one meal a day in there and after a long day of work you don’t always smell fresh as a daisy. These car diffusers plug into your power outlet in your car, and they work with just about any essential oil. Sure those little tress are cheaper, but they don’t last and they can smell a little overwhelming at times. These diffusers use natural essential oils like peppermint or lavender to make your car smell fresh, and can even help to calm you down during that rush hour traffic.

2) Noise Cancelling Earbuds

If your commute to work involves any type of public transportation, you need to invest in noise cancelling earbuds. Whether you listen to a podcast every day on your way to work or start your day listening to some tunes, these earbuds are a must-have. Anyone who’s taken public transportation knows how incredibly loud it can get, and coming home after a long day of work the noise is the last thing you want to deal with. Just pop these babies in and press play. We can make the noise disappear, but unfortunately we can’t do anything about that annoying guy who chooses to sit next to you even though the rest of the train is basically empty. Sorry about that one!

3) Spill-Proof Coffee Cup

Whether you commute to work in your car, on a bus or a train, having a no-spill coffee cup is an essential. You have enough to worry about during your day, spilling your coffee on your brand new white blouse on the way to work should not be one of them! Accidents happen, and more often than not we end up dropping something on our daily commute. Invest in a spill-proof coffee cup and at least you know dropping your cup won’t end in a huge mess, and end up leaving you with no coffee. There are some super affordable options out there, and let’s be honest, a no-spill cup is a lot cheaper than paying for dry-cleaning or getting your car detailed after you spill your PSL all over your passenger seat.

4) Kindle

Although we can’t change your commute for you, we CAN change your experience. Buying a Kindle will completely change your commute for the better. It’s super light and unlike your favorite paperback it cannot get wrinkled or crushed at the bottom of your bag. It holds thousands of books at once, so if you finish your book 10 minutes into your hour commute home, just download another one! Immerse yourself in a good book and block out all the craziness of your daily commute!

5) Emergency Keychain

As scary as it is to admit, sometimes things can get a little dodgy. If your shift ends at 9 pm and you find yourself alone in a train station parking lot at 10:30 at night, your mind can come up with some pretty crazy scenarios. Although you may never have yo use it (and we sincerely hope you don’t), it might be a good idea to buy an emergency keychain. If you find yourself in a hairy situation, all you have to do is press the button. This little gadget will make such a loud noise it’ll scare off whoever it is that you’re running from, and alert everyone in the parking lot that there is something going on. This way, you can feel just a bit safer heading back to your car at night.

6) Sunglasses

Whether you’re hiding a wicked hangover, blocking out the sun rays, or blocking out the haters, a decent pair of sunglasses is a great thing to have if you commute to work. They’re great for avoiding awkward eye contact on public transportation, and they are obviously a great thing to have if you drive to work. We recommend finding a cheap pair, just in case you leave them behind on the train, forget them on the roof of your car, or you sit on them in your mad dash to get the heck home.

We encounter a lot of germs throughout the day, especially if we take public transport to work. Don’t waste your precious paid sick days! Get some pocket hand sanitizers and make sure you have one in every single one of your bags! They’re super handy, and they don’t take up tons of room in your bag either. And they come in some pretty awesome scents, too!

8) Crocs

Okay, we know they’re not the most stylish shoes on the market. And you might be questioning how they wound up on a product list for commuting to work.
