10 Sandals That You Can Wear To The Office This Summer
As the weather gets warmer, it gets harder to justify wearing closed-toed work shoes. You may want to reach for the classic summer sandal, but don’t forget to find a shoe that you can wear to the office and on vacation. Save the flip-flops for the poolside and upgrade your summer shoe game with these adorable sandals that you can also wear to the office! Remember, Try and find sandals that have a back strap in order to prevent the flip-flop sound as you walk through the office (your co-workers will thank you!) Of course, not all of these may apply to your workspace, depending on your office’s dress code but use this list to get you inspired!
1. Platform Sandals
If your workplace requires a little more fancy footwear, try platform sandals! Since they are elevated like a heel, they seem slightly more dressy than traditional sandals. Platforms are basically the perfect option for those who want to add height and lengthen your legs without sacrificing comfort. Platform sandals can range from 2-5 inches so you can get a height you are comfortable with. Pair with an office-appropriate dress, linen pants and business top or a flowy skirt and top. This kind of sandals work with every type of outfit all while looking cute and summery!

2. Wide Strap Sandals
If you want to skip the heels but still want a pair of slightly dressy sandals, try leather sandals with a wide strap. Having a wide strap evokes the image of wearing traditional office-style flats while still allowing your feet to breathe. Try a completely flat pair or you can get one with a small heel to make them seem even fancier. Especially if you pick a pair with darker leather, you can pair with dresses, skirts and dress pants and they will look appropriate in an office and at the beach!

You can use suede sandals to add some interesting texture to your summer outfits and the popularity of the trend means you can find suede sandals in every color and style now! Since suede isn’t a stereotypical material for summer shoes, it instantly dresses your outfit up! Pair with cropped jeans or dress pants or a flowy skirt. There’s nothing these sandals don’t look good with (including a suede skirt!)

If you want to buy one pair of work sandals, black strappy sandals are a safe bet! When I worked in DC for a summer internship, I wore a black sandal with straps and a small heel almost every day. They were cute, functional and perfect for walking around the city during the summer heat. Finding a pair in suede or leather-type material means they will be nice enough for an office but still practical enough that you can wear them throughout the whole season. Whether you choose a nicer material or stick to basic, comfy elastic straps, you can pair with dresses, skirts and pants for a classic summer look.
