One of the biggest draws of Pace University is the wide variety of student-run organizations on campus. Each organization brings a different perspective and dynamic to campus. Student life lives and breathes organizations due to the fantastic events that these groups put on. While each organization has something special to add to the campus there are a few that have stood out among the rest as being the best.
Asian Student Union (ASU)
The Asian Student Union has stood out among the rest as one of the most successful organizations on this campus. One of the biggest draws of on-campus organizations is their ability to share their purpose with the rest of the campus. Over the past few years, ASU has stepped up the game for putting on culturally educational events that everyone on campus can enjoy.
Events like Holi, where students were given the opportunity to pelt each other with colored dust while learning about the religious holiday that brought them that opportunity, ASU proved themselves as an organization that could provide a good time and an educational time. With students of all cultures and creeds coming out to support this holiday it was a great reflection of the year that ASU had last year. Other than bringing fun food tasting and karaoke events to campus they spoke loud and proud in senate every week working to make this institution a better place for students.

Pride at Pace is the student-run LGBTQA organization on the Pleasantville campus not to be confused with the LGBTQA center that they often collaborate with. Headed by a seasoned eboard this organization works to create a safe space for queer students at Pace. With events like Fabulosity, the annual drag show, they attempt to bring both straight and queer students together by introducing them to important aspects of queer culture with fun music and good food.
Besides Fabulosity this organization puts on a variety of annual events such as Pride Prom- a prom for everyone but with the purpose of creating a safe environment for queer students who did not get to go to their own prom- or even the educational Jeopardy night that they do every year with trivia only surrounding the LGBTQA community. This organization stands out as one of the best because of the timeless way it has effected this campus and grown over the years can be an inspiration to many new organizations on campus. From a small organization that barely filled a room to the organization that they are now with students covering every seat and floor space of the Kessel honors lounge to either find their safe space or support a friend that has found theirs.
Black Student Union (BSU)
The Black Student Union is probably one of the most well-known organizations on the Pace University Pleasantville Campus. They run events around maintaining and supporting the growth of black excellence inside and outside of Pace by running job fairs and dinners supporting and uplifting not only their members but everyone at Pace. They have been one of the most outspoken members of the senate working hard to maintain not only their own organization but also every other organization here.
In the Spring 2019 semester, they worked hard with other organizations to present a culture fest for the Pleasantville Fund – which is a fund where all leftover student organization money is allocated. Students are constantly in awe of the beautiful events that they put on and the welcoming and caring atmosphere that they create at every event. BSU is a living embodiment of the dedication and hard work that our school attempts to represent. It is by far one of the most persistent and efficient organizations at Pace.

Ignite supports women in government and leadership roles, and though they were new to this campus as of last year they have managed to make a splash with their tabling and fun events. Coming up soon is what looks like is becoming their annual mindful dance event. Students are encouraged to come to this event and allow the music to carry them and not to be self-conscious about their bodies or skills as they do so. This is not only an amazing mindfulness activity but also practices body positivity. This is the image that Ignite gives off of itself on all platforms. They are a positive organization that wants to support women and all people in their success and positivity.
