Fall Spiked Drink Recipes That You Need For Your Next Dinner Party
As much as we’d like to say that Fall is the best time for a spiked drink, we know that alcohol tastes good year round! What we can say is that not all combinations of alcohol and drink mesh together perfectly to bring you a taste that reminds you of the cozy season. If you’re planing on hosting a party and really want to nail that authentic ‘Fall’ taste, then we’ve got the perfect recipe list for you. We’ve rounded up all of the Fall spiked drink recipes that you need for your next dinner party.
1. Apple Butter Old Fashioned
Spiked drink recipes can get fancy with garnishes that take hours to make. This recipe is a very simple no muss no fuss spiked drink that will remind your tastebuds of apple picking in a warm sweater.
Ingredients:
- coarse sugar, for the rim (optional)
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- juice from 1/2 a lemon
- dash of orange bitters
- 1 tablespoon apple butter
- 2 ounces bourbon
- ginger beer or ginger kombucha, for topping(optional)
- thinly sliced apples and cinnamon, for garnish
Directions:
1. If desired, rim your glass with coarse sugar.
2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the apple cider, lemon juice, orange bitters, apple butter and bourbon. Shake to combine.
3. Strain into your prepared glass filled with ice. If desired top with ginger beer. Garnish with cinnamon and apples. DRINK!
2. Pumpkin Spice White Russian
Pumpkin spice is such a controversial flavour! Some love it while others can’t stand it. Well, if loving pumpkin spiced drink recipes are wrong, we don’t wanna be right!
Ingredients:
For the drink:
- 3 ounces 2 shot glasses good quality vodka
- 3 ounces 2 shot glasses pumpkin spice creamer
- 1.5 ounces 1 shot glass Kahlua
- Whipped Cream and pumpkin pie spice for garnish
For the rim:
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon sugar or sparkling sugar
- 3 tablespoons crushed graham crackers
Directions:
- Mix the ingredients for the rim together on a shallow plate. Dip the edge of two glasses in water and then dip into the graham mixture. Press to coat. Set the two glasses aside.
- Pour vodka, creamer, and kahlua into a large cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake lightly until combined and cold.
- Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice.
- Enjoy!
3. Apple Cider Champagne
Having a fancy dinner party but don’t have too much time? (aka on a netflix binge) Try spiked drink recipes like this one! This apple cider champagne only has three ingredients! Easy doesn’t even begin to describe it, especially when it looks so fancy.
Ingredients:
For the apple cider champagne cocktails:
- 2 ounces brandy — or dark rum
- 4 ounces apple cider
- 8 ounces chilled champagne — Prosecco, or other sparkling wine
- Optional: Apple slices — for garnish
To rim the glasses:
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon— pumpkin pie spice is also tasty if you have it on hand
- Additional apple cider
Directions:
- Rim the glasses: In a shallow bowl, stir together the sugar and cinnamon. In a separate shallow bowl, pour a few tablespoons of apple cider. Wet the edges of the glasses in the apple cider, then tap the wet edges in the cinnamon and sugar mixture to rim.
- Pour 1 ounce of brandy or rum and 2 ounces apple cider in each glass. Top with 4 ounces champagne. Enjoy immediately, garnished with apple slices as desired.
4. Cinnamon Tequila Sour
It starts to get a little chilly around Fall time. It’s the time for long pants and sweaters. Compared to summer, it seems like you’re always in a pile of clothing. Spiked drink recipes like the one below are here to save the day. With a heavy pour of tequila, you’ll be taking the clothes off instead of putting them on. Ingredients:
- 1 oz. tequila
- 2 tbsp simple syrup
- Juice from 1/2 lemon
- 1 egg white
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker then shake for 10-20 seconds.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy!
5. Pomegranate Rum Punch

Ingredients:
- 4 hibiscus tea bags
- 1 small cinnamon stick, smashed
- 1 c. pomegranate juice
- 1 c. spiced rum
- 1/2 c. fresh navel or blood orange juice, plus slices for serving
- 1 (750-milliliter) bottle prosecco or other sparkling wine, chilled
- Pomegranate seeds, for serving
Directions:
- Place tea bags and cinnamon stick in a large measuring cup. Top with 1 cup boiling water; let steep 5 minutes. Strain and cool to room temperature.
- Combine tea, pomegranate juice, rum, and orange juice in a pitcher. Slowly stir in prosecco. Serve over ice with orange slices and pomegranate seeds.
6. Hot Spiced Wine
What better way to warm up on a cold day than with a hot drink? Spiked drink recipes that feature warmed drinks are not as plentiful as cold ones. We figured you’d need something to warm up your guests hands so here you go!
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of Mirassou Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1/4 cup honey (add additional honey for a sweeter drink)
- 1 freshly juiced (large) orange, and a dash of orange zest
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1/2 teaspoon of Allspice
- 1 teaspoon of whole cloves (add a dash more for a spicier cider)
- 1 cinnamon sticks
- 1 whole star anise
- 1/4 cup brandy (optional for added flavor)
- Orange slices, for garnish
- Cinnamon sticks, for garnish
- Whole start anise for garnish
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a large pot, and heat on low for approximately 30 minutes until warm, or you can combine all ingredients into a slow cooker on low for about 45 minutes to hour (then turn to warm if you’re going to be serving from the cooker throughout the night!).
- Once warm, you can serve immediately with a few extra garnishes like whole star anise, cinnamon sticks, and an orange peel for added detail!
