Things You Must Do While In New York
New York is one of the most popular cities on the planet, and arguably the busiest. There’s so much to do here, that it’s impossible to see and experience every single attraction. However, I’ll help you out, and show you these things you cannot miss out on doing while in New York!
Walk On The Brooklyn Bridge
The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most iconic places in the country, let alone New York. The bridge is very long and super peaceful. Here, you take in the beautiful scenery, fresh air, and experience such a carefully constructed bridge in all her glory.
There is a separate part of the bridge specifically for walking, and since it’s one of the most visited landmarks in New York, the bridge is always very busy. Keep that in mind when planning to walk to and back from the bridge, and I definitely do not recommend cycling here.
Experience Times Square
Times Square is one of the most exciting places in New York to be. Throughout the year, the entire area is completely filled up, so be patient with all the extremely long lines and human traffic. From enjoying the street performers to the magicians and entertainers, to the upscale restaurants and theater, Times Square offers a unique experience for people from all walks of life.
Times Square is the lively hub of New York, and you’ll be sure to find something you love here. Coming here makes you feel like you’re in a movie, and the whole experience is completely surreal.
Watch King Kong On Broadway
You have never really experienced New York if you haven’t seen a show on Broadway. It’s one of the staple attractions in all of New York and for very good reason. Although any Broadway show is extraordinary and out of this world, King Kong is arguably the best show available. The price is not as high as some others (about $150), and the production will blow you off your seats.
The experience you get from being at a Broadway show can’t really be explained, you need to see it for yourself. The show follows the general King Kong story we all know and love, and you quickly get emotionally attached to the 20-person-controlled giant gorilla. King Kong on Broadway is a testament of the human ability to portray such a beautiful story right in front of your eyes and will make you never want to leave New York.
Visit The Statue Of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty needs no introduction, it’s one of the most famous monuments in the world. It symbolizes freedom and liberty, which is something that can’t be taken for granted. It was originally a gift from France to the United States and has been standing high and mighty for well over a hundred years. It’s such a beautiful sight, and it’s one you simply cannot miss out on.
Since Lady Liberty is located on Liberty Island, you would have to take a cruise to get a closer look. While on the island, you can take guided tours right up to the statue and gaze at the amazing architecture. You can also go all the way into her crown and have the best view of all of New York. The experience is breathtaking, and you will never forget seeing Lady Liberty and experiencing New York through her eyes.
