10 Dessert Places In Toronto That Will Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth
Exploring Toronto is one of my favorite things to do, but it’s even better when I find some cool dessert places to try out. I’ve been to many but here are some of my most favorite dessert places in Toronto and what treat to try there.
1. D-Spot
Located at 828 Bay Street, this location serves some fun and really filling waffles and pancakes (and more). This is one of the dessert places in Toronto where you can also bring a friend who has a more savory taste. However, for the sweet tooth, I definitely recommend their Reese’s Peanut Butter Pancakes.
2. Cacao 70
This is one of the dessert places in Toronto that really excited me because when you walk in, you are hit with the scent of sweet chocolate. It’s almost hard to leave because you just don’t want the smell to go away. They have a lot of locations in Toronto alone but I would recommend 485 Queen Street West. Bring some friends and share a classic fondue and some chocolate beers!
3. Cafe Nuna
Cafe Nuna is just one of the dessert places in Toronto that specializes in extreme, or mutant, milkshakes. On the outside, they look like a normal cafe but when you look at their menu, there are some fun milkshakes to try and share with someone. My favorite is “The Cookie Monster” which comes with chocolate chip cookies, Nutella, ice cream, and loads of chocolate. You can find them at 626 Queen Street West.
4. Cool N2
One of the coolest and almost futuristic dessert places in Toronto is Cool N2. Located at 412 Queen Street West, this place lets you get liquid nitrogen ice cream! Bring your phone and take some cool pictures of you with the cold vapor coming out of your mouth. If you want to try something cool, I suggest getting their liquid nitrogen Cheetos!
5. Soma
If you’re taking a walk in Distillery District, make sure to stop by Soma. Another dessert place in Toronto that will kick your chocolate craving. You’re able to see them make some of their product through the window looking into their chocolate workshop. While you do that, grab one of their Mexican hot chocolates that will definitely spice up your day.
6. Eva’s Original Chimneys
At 454 Bloor Street West, you can try a famous Budapest dessert: chimneys. These are pastries that shaped like little chimneys and filled with some sweet stuff. I think the matcha crunch chimney cone is the best.
7. Nugateau
One of the most delicious types of desserts out there are definitely eclairs and this place focuses on creating some very tasty ones. You can find them at 717 Queen Street West, it has a window to view some of the fanciest food you have ever seen. When you’re there get a box full of eclairs to share with loved ones but make sure you have at least one of the Isabelle eclairs.
8. Wanda’s Pie in the Sky
This dessert place in Toronto has such a fun name but the food there is even better. Just like the name says, this place focuses on pies, both sweet and savory. If that’s what you’re craving, visit them at 287 Augusta Avenue. I definitely recommend their Dutch apple pie.
9. Sweet Olenka’s
Another one of the fancy looking dessert places in Toronto is Sweet Olenka’s. If you need a cake for any occasion, this is the place to go because their cakes will be the talk of the party. Not only are they delicious but the look of them is so cool. However, if you don’t want to buy a whole cake, you can get something called a cakester which is basically a one serving cake. I like to come in the fall and get their pumpkin puff cakester. Find Sweet Olenka at225 Augusta Avenue.
10. Momofuku Milk Bar
Located upstairs in Momofuku Noodle Bar (190 University Avenue), you can find this dessert place. They have a nice selection of cookies, the cornflake-marshmallow-chocolate chip cookie being my favorite. However, I would also suggest taking a fun baking class with them so you can make some yummy desserts at home.
