Miami, Florida

Miami is a pretty popular US destination for anyone tired of the snow. Weather ranges from the mid to high 70s and is perfect for beach outings and walking around outdoors. Head to the Bayside Market Place for lunch, then take a nap while laying out on the beach. At night, break out your cutest club outfit, you know the one that hasn’t been weather appropriate in your hometown for months! Miami’s nightlife is the stuff of legends. If your short on cash, try staying in Key West. It has all the same draws for a fraction of the price. This is definitely one of the best vacation spots!

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Myrtle Beach is another popular US beach town that many people like to visit during the winter. The weather, while still sometimes cool, is a lot warmer than most US cities. You may want to pack a light jacket, but you will still be able to enjoy the beach while you are there. I would just skip trying to swim, the waves are still too chilly. Most major attractions in Myrtle Beach are open year around, and going during the winter months ensures much lower prices on everything from hotels, to activities.

Tulum, Mexico

Tulum has become a very trendy travel destination for the younger generation, and it’s very easy to see why. Its picture perfect beaches make it ideal for your Insta feed, and of course it’s climate is ideal for anyone in the need for some warmth. Tulum has the draw of the beach, and is also the site of the Mayan ruins. You can be sipping cocktails in your bikini one day, and the next head out to one of the most well preserved Indigenous ruins in the world. Don’t forget to pack your yoga pants, Tulum is also a hotspot for amazing yoga classes.

Montego Bay, Jamaica

Montego Bay is known for its white beaches and sunny warm skies. Post up on the beach with a tropical cocktail and enjoy the sun or head out and explore all that the city has to offer. Take a guided river ride on a bamboo raft, or go snorkeling in crystal clear waters protected by the Montego Bay Marine Park. The city is also known to have various festivals and concerts year round, adding even more excitement to the mix. Montego Bay is also home to numerous all inclusive hotels, making this destination a steal.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Much like Miami, Cabo is known for its beach town vibes and exciting nightlife. There’s an endless number of outdoor restaurants and bars by the water, and most of them will not bat an eye at your beach clad etire. Go from beach, to bar and back again. You can also get your adventure on with Cabo’s many outdoor excursions. Swim with whale sharks, scuba dive in the Los Cabos Reef, go horseback riding or camel riding, along the beach. Yes, camel riding! With so many options, and of course the warm sun, this destination is perfect for your winter blues!

The Bahamas

The Bahamas are known to be tropical island heaven. The Bahamas are comprised of many different islands, ranging from resort filled islands, to more remote and untouched ones. There is something for every travel personality. Go scuba diving in the Andros Barrier Reef, or swim with the pigs in Exuma (they are seriously so adorable), or catch some of the scenery where they shot several James Bond films. Might as well sip on a martini while doing that last one! Fill your day with water sports, or off roading tours, or check out all of the aquariums and wildlife the Bahamas have to offer. You will never want to come home again!

Costa Rica

This Central American country has more than a few draws. It is known for its beautiful beaches, breathtaking rainforest, and active volcanoes. Spend a day in the jungle, hiking, zip lining, sitting in volcanic hot springs, looking for waterfalls, and hanging out with monkeys. Then spend the next day at the beach soaking up the sun, wind surfing, catching a sunset sail. They even offer cultural tours, like the Rainforest Chocolate tour (yum!). Your options truly are limitless. By the end of your vacation you’ll just wish you had booked a longer stay! We think this is one of the best vacation spots you can go to!

St. Lucia

St. Lucia is known as one of the hottest honeymoon destinations of the Caribbean. But, you don’t have to be recently hitched to enjoy all that St. Lucia has to offer. The north side of the island is generally thought of as the busier, more populated section. So if your craving more of a party vibe, I’d stay somewhere north. Want to feel a little more isolated? Go to the south side of the island, and find remote beaches, and undisturbed wildlife. The island also offers mud bathing, and a drive in volcano (woah!), just to name a few activities.

Hawaii

Hawaii is lucky to have pretty warm weather year round, making it the perfect place to seek shelter from the cold! Surprisingly, the islands get their biggest waves of the year during the winter. This might give you a unique opportunity to see some major surfing competitions. While you’re there why not try a surf lesson yourself! Aside from surfing and warm weather, the islands offer thousands of other activities. Try your hand at water sports, or go hiking along the dreamy lush trails and find yourself some hot springs, or waterfalls. Check out a coconut farm, or head out to see the dolphins or just relax beach side and take in all the warmth! This is one of the best vacation spots!

Canary Islands, Spain

The Canary Islands offer a rich and well rounded trip. The Canary Islands are comprised of seven different islands, each offering a plethora of things to be seen and done. Wake up early to hike the Roque Agando, if you make it close to the top, you will get an incomparable view. The islands offer many more caverns and caves to be explored, and natural pools to be relaxed in. The islands also offer unique and beautiful architecture that is centuries old. There is so much natural and historic beauty to be seen in the Canary Islands.
