1. Research the company beforehand

Interviewers love to ask you about the company and see if you did your ‘homework’. Prior to the interview, spend a good amount of time looking up the company and learning everything you can about it. Be prepared to answer questions about the company and showoff everything you know in your responses! This is one of the best job interview tips!

3. Eye contact

Interviews can be extremely awkward. You may catch yourself looking away while the interviewer is talking or while you are responding to a question. It is important that you maintain eye contact throughout the entire interview as eye contact helps the interviewer know that you are engaged in the entire conversation. Eye contact also always resembles confidence, and makes it seem like you know what you are talking about.

4. Always bring a printed copy of your resume

Never, and I mean never, show up to an interview without a printed copy of your resume. Just because you submitted your resume online does NOT mean that the interviewer will have a copy of it during the interview. It is always better to show up prepared then empty handed. This is one of our favorite job interview tips.

5. Prepare for common interview questions

One way to help you stay confident during an interview is to prepare for common interview questions. Some common interview questions include: Tell me a little bit about yourself. What is your biggest strength? What is your biggest weakness? Why do you want this job? Why should we hire you? You can find more common interview questions here.
