Your Ultimate Guide To Planning A Trip To Vegas

mm
A trip to Vegas is something that needs a lot of planning in advance! Here is the guide to making sure your vacation goes according to plan!

The time has come for you to finally indulge in all that Las Vegas has to offer. Whether you drink or not, there is something for everyone! Here are a few strategies and places to keep in mind when you are planning a trip to Vegas.

1. Budget

Out of all the places that get expensive quick, Las Vegas tops the list. Sometimes it’s due to how quickly drinks add up at the club, cover charges too if you don’t have a hook up, or it’s the taxi rides alone! You should set a realistic budget way before you board that plane. Keep in mind all the late-night meals and extra pop up events you’ll want to attend on your trip. There is nothing worse than splurging on a Vegas trip and then not being able to return until many years later. Making sure you have money to come home to should be priority on your list when planning a trip to Vegas.

2. Consider The Crowd You’re With

If you’re going on a family Vegas trip, maybe don’t plan on being hungover in bed after your first night there. There are a lot of family-friendly activities in Vegas and if you want to avoid that scene, maybe plan your trip with a different group of people. When it comes time for friends whether it’s a bachelor party or a girl’s trip, make sure to have a plan of attack before you get dressed up. Decide how many night clubs/day clubs you want to hit up and leave space for food or you will definitely regret it!

3. Stop By Drai’s Nightclub

As someone who tends to avoid clubs at all costs, Drai’s was my Las Vegas exception to the rule. After getting connected with a promoter in Vegas, my significant other and I got on Drai’s guestlist at the last minute and made our way out. Getting inside was a breeze, the atmosphere was positive, and I don’t think I ever stopped dancing! There is always a celebrity coming or going in Drai’s and if you are into that hip hop vibe, this is a definite spot to check out even if you’re not popping bottles that night.

4. So Many Snacks!

If you’re like me, vacations are a time to eat all those colorful sugary snacks that you don’t have back at home. When planning a trip to Vegas I hadn’t even consider all the culinary options. From upscale eateries like Giada’s or endless buffet plates at Caesar’s Palace, definitely plan what you want to eat on your trip. You also have dessert options like adult root beer floats or cannoli’s at Carlo’s in Last Vegas. It may not be the original but the desserts taste just as sweet!

5. Hop Completely On That Sweet Tooth Train

Maybe sugar is your preference compared to alcohol. If this is the case, Last Vegas still has you covered! Consider stopping by M&M’s World to get merch, marvel at all the colors, or even try an M&M’s ice cream sandwich! For the chocolate lovers who want more, Hershey’s World may be more your speed. From take-home Reese’s spread to Hershey covered marshmallows, your sweet tooth is sure to be satisfied here!

6. Ride The Gondola

Something to keep in mind when planning your Vegas trip is that they have so many great alternatives to activities. Maybe a trip to Italy isn’t in your current budget, that’s okay! You can ride the gondola with your loved one at the Venetian. There is even an indoor option for those days when you desperately need a break from the Las Vegas sun.

7. Avoid Mall Shopping

Shopping may be a constant on all the vacations you take. Las Vegas definitely has shopping options but in my opinion it is not worth all the walking and sweating. Not only is it incredibly hot but there are so many shops to choose from that you become quickly exhausted. My Vegas shopping trip was cut short as soon as I noticed the handles of plastic shopping bags melting on my arm. With so many things to do, consider keeping the souvenir shopping to a minimum and enjoy everything else Vegas has to offer.

8. Pool Parties

Or as I like to call them, casually getting wet in a swimsuit while listening to a DJ. There are enormous crowds of people who attend Vegas pool parties and if you expect to swim or for the water to even be cold, you are mistaken. Pool Parties should be treated like any other club event where you will be bumping into people and the headliner will not play for a while. They are lots of fun and most of the time worth the wait but just make sure you have that sunscreen caked on!

9. Take Advantage of Room Service

Whether you’re recovering from a night out of partying or you’re just feeling lazy, taking advantage of room service should be in your Vegas plans. With so many eating choices located in hotels, you can order room service and rest in those cushy robes. You’ve probably spent so much money on this trip that having food brought up to you is the ideal situation to be caught in.

10. Reach the Top: The Bellagio

The main point on your ultimate guide to planning a trip to Vegas should be to aim for the Bellagio. It has a fountain show, chocolate fountains, and a museum type atmosphere that cannot be replaced. Although it is far from being reasonably priced, there is nothing quite like spending a night out in Vegas and returning to these fabulous rooms to sleep. It may take a lot of saving but it is well worth it.
