15 Questions To Ask A Girl To Get To Know Her

Girls aren't all that mysterious once you get to know them. Here are some really useful questions to ask a girl to find out more about how she works!

One of the biggest complaints that guys have is that they never know what a girl is thinking. They seem to think that there’s always a deeper meaning to every response. “Fine” never just means fine – it must mean that you’re upset with them. If you tell a guy to go have fun with his friends, you’re really telling him the exact opposite and if he goes out he better be prepared to fight later. The idea that a girl never really says what she’s thinking is absurd. The bigger problem here is that men don’t usually ask the right questions. Or that they have those assumptions that you’re never telling them the whole truth. Once you really get to know a girl, the fear that she’s hiding something will subside. Here are some questions to ask a girl to get to know her on a deeper level.

1. What’s your dream job?

If money wasn’t a thing and you could do whatever you want in the world, what would it be? This will reveal her passions. When you see a someone talking about what they truly love most, a spark ignites in them and you can see her more clearly.

2. Who’s your biggest inspiration?

It might be their mom, aunt or maybe it’s Tyra Banks! Whoever they say, they’ll be able to tell you some amazing stories about the impact that person has had on their life. Then, maybe you can see how you can act that will leave a positive impression on her!

3. What’s your biggest accomplishment?

Again, this is a good way to find out what she’s passionate about. Whether it’s a big accomplishment like winning a national writing contest or small like coming in second in her elementary school spelling bee, it will mean a lot to her that you asked.

4. What’s the worst movie you’ve ever seen?

A lot of the time there’s more to say about a terrible movie than there is about a good movie. The acting was terrible, the storyline was confusing or maybe she hated that it didn’t follow the book. All I know is that I get more worked up about something I hate than something I love.

5. If you could change something small and silly about the world, what would it be?

Everyone knows what big changes they’d make about the world – world peace, unlimited food and water to the poor, curing cancer. But what about the seemingly pointless and annoying things? Would she change the speed limit on the road she lives on? Or decrease the price of her favorite burrito place? This will let you in on her pet peeves!

6. What would your strategy be if you were in The Hunger Games?

Maybe she’d hide. Maybe she’d go on the attack. Or maybe she’d form an alliance. This is one of the best questions to ask a girl to give you insight into how she operates in life.

7. What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?

I don’t know about you, but I love talking about my guilty pleasures. I’m always just too scared to bring them up myself in case I look like a psycho. But, if someone gives me the opportunity to talk about them, I’m off!

8. What’s your favorite and least favorite thing about being female?

Understanding the experience of women is important for guys. It levels the playing field a little bit because I’m sure you wouldn’t even think about what her favorites and least favorites are. Becuase I assure you, it’s not getting free drinks from time to time.

9. What fictional character do you relate to the most?

It’s one of the perfect questions to ask a girl to help you better understand how she views herself. Hopefully, she won’t say Cruella di Vel because that probably means she has some serious issues about dogs and then you should just leave.

10. What’s a fact that you’re surprised more people don’t know?

Maybe you already knew that fact and then you can rant about how stupid other people are for not knowing it! Or perhaps you didn’t know that a flock of crows is called a murder, and then you learned something.

12. What was your first memory?

Your first memory is usually some big life event. That’s why it sticks out so much. This could be a great way to break the ice and talk about your childhood!

13. Who’s your celebrity crush?

Just like my pet peeves, I could gush about my celebrity crushes all day long. Something that’s important to remember is that these are all hypothetical and not to get jealous that she knows every detail about Timotheé Chalamet. I mean, can you even blame her, he’s so cute!!

14. What would you do if you won the lottery?

This is one of those questions to ask a girl that will give you another chance to just let her talk about her wildest fantasies. If you can’t tell, there’s a pattern in letting her spill her guts about things she loves. That’s how you’re really going to get to know someone!

15. What do you wish people would stop asking you?

This is another chance to understand the experience of a female. It might be “why don’t you smile more?” or “why don’t you wear more makeup?” Whatever it is, it’s probably offensive in a discrete way. You might even learn to stop asking the women in your life the same question!
