Here’s How To Tell Your Partner You Have An STD
Having a sexually transmitted disease, “STD”, can be the definition of terrible, especially if it isn’t curable. It can also be extremely terrifying telling your partner because you fear you may have possibly infected them and they may more than likely hate you forever. If you have contracted an STD, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TELL YOUR PARTNER IMMEDIATELY, as well as any other partners you have been intimated with. Now, I am sure it won’t be an easy discussion to have but, IT MUST BE HAD! Here’s how to tell your partner you have an STD.
When telling your partner that you have in-fact contracted an STD, you have to overcome your immense shame, fear and embarrassment, and be completely and totally honest
I would suggest taking a shot or ten, of tequila or vodka beforehand. That way you don’t feel as tense and terrified as you would sober. You could also possibly even cook your partner their favorite meal before you lay the sad news for them.
Another possible way you can tell your partner that you have an STD is by bringing them to your doctor
You will have to give your doctor permission to tell your partner of course. Having the doctor tell the news though might be “better” in the sense that the doctor could give all the details about the STD and answers any medical questions.
At the end of the day, there honestly isn’t a “specific” way or “best” way to tell your partner that you have an STD
The only thing you can do or rather must do, is be 100% open and direct about it. You will also have to divulge to your partner how you may have gotten the STD. ABe sure to tell your partner that they must get tested as well.
