What To Do If You Had Sex On The First Date

mm
So you had sex on the first date. Having sex on a first date is nothing to be ashamed of. If you're wondering what comes next after you have sex on your first date, here are the best ways to handle it.

So you slept with him on the first date. What now? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve helped my friends – girls and guys alike – with that question. Why? Because I’ve done the same thing myself. So, here is what to do if you had sex on the first date:

It happens.

Boy meets girl, girl meets boy, boy meets boy, girl meets girl…you get the point.  But sometimes the chemistry is undeniable and you find yourself in a sweaty, hot, passionate mess tangled up in his bed sheets and wake up the next day thinking what the f*ck did I do?!

I’m not gonna lie…

Alcohol definitely has played a MAJOR factor in lowering my inhibitions…

But I can also say that I have no regrets. None. Zero.

I realize that being a girl – or really anyone – there is so much more society pressure on us to be innocent sweet angels and keep it in our pants, but let’s get real here.  We have needs and desires too – we can’t help it.  And sometimes honestly, we just really want to have some fun and not worry about any attachment.

So here’s what to do: First of all, DON’T STRESS IT!

You’re both two consenting adults, and you both made the choice to be physical.  So decide what YOU want and go from there.  If the other person judges you (when they were a willing participant) you don’t need a judgmental hypocrite in your life.  Or if you feel the connection and want to take it further, pursue it!

(Note: Obviously there’s some other factors that may contribute to you wanting to run away and just ghost them. Like if he has an unhealthy obsession with porn.  Or he tells you that ‘it puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose.’ Also important things like, size…

And for those situations I like to use the excuse, “I’m so sorry but I’m not looking for a relationship right now and I’ve realized I just really need to find myself. Alone. Without you.”  Then run. LOL.)

But the one thing you should never do is lead that person on.

Don’t want anything more than a hook up?  Tell them! Most people are relieved and will respect that you’re up front and own what you want. Things are messy and complicated enough in relationships without being crystal clear about what you’re expecting from someone else.

The absolute bottom line really is, know yourself and your boundaries.

And then do whatever the hell you want. (just be safe while doing it, of course.)
