10 Best Places To Cry When You Just Cant Anymore At Columbia College Chicago

mm
Columbia College Chicago can get to be a bit much and sometimes you need a good cry. Here are spots to cry on Columbia College Chicago campus if need be.

We’ve all been there. Your flash-drive corrupted your project, your printer ran out of ink before you could print that very important paper, or you’re just overwhelmed by the sheer amount of work you have to do. Anyway, you’re loosing it and you need a place to cry because you just can’t anymore. Well, Columbia College Chicago has got you covered.

1. The top place to cry is of course, your own dorm!

Okay, seriously. Hop in bed, bring some Kleenex and let it out. College is stressful, and your roommates should understand if you need a moment to yourself. Better out than in, let those tears flow.

2. If you can’t get to your dorm in time, cry in the lobby of Plymouth dorm.

Okay I know. The lobby? Plymouth has the most amazing addition in their lobby. Beanbag chairs. They’re secluded and on the floor, and you can just flop down and let it out. Then turn yourself around and head to your next class. Be sure not to disturb anyone studying but you should be fine.

3. Columbia Chicago is very blessed to be within walking distance of two Target stores.

Yes, you, poor sad college student are going to be crying in a Target. Maybe it’ll be between the milk and butter, or spice it up and cry by the tupperware this time.

4. The library

Pick up a book from the romance section, take a deep breath, and pretend to cry over Samuel and Penelope’s forbidden love while you’re actually crying because you’re overreacting to one bad mark on your project.

5. Grant Park

When in doubt, let it out. If it’s not too windy, go take a sad walk around the park. It’s ok to cry in public.

6. Your RA’s dorm.

If you have a good relationship with your RA, and you go to them for advice, crying on their couch isn’t out of the question. We’ve all been there. They’ve been in your shoes too.

7. Elevators

Elevators aren’t just for romantic rendezvous (Thanks Grey’s Anatomy), if you have a crowded dorm or a class coming up soon and happen to snag an empty elevator just let it out.

8. The bathroom

Come on it’s a classic! The bathrooms in the buildings at CCC are very nice for the record, and some floors do feature gender neutral bathrooms as well. Everyone cries and everyone deserves a place to cry.

9. Starbucks

Okay, you deserve that latte. Your heart is broken. There’s a starbucks connected to a hotel nearby if you need to escape for a while.

10. And Finally, everywhere.

Freshman year found me locked out of my dorm building with no ID card for the first day, I cried on the street. You can cry anywhere you want and the beauty of Chicago being a big city is that people may or may not care. But you’re not looking for sympathy here, you just need to let it out. The city is your stage, go ahead and cry it out.
