Tampa is the gorgeous city that can be big, but really everyone knows each other somehow. Tampa has its perks, and things you can’t stand, but at the end of the day, you can’t help but love this wonderful city if you grew up in it. Here are 20 signs you grew up in Tampa.

1. Busch Gardens was the middle school spot!

You knew that it was going to be a good weekend if going to Busch Gardens was in the weekend plans (because Sheikra was the ride to go on even if it terrified you).

With the Florida heat, going to a water park was never a bad idea.

3. Bayshore is gorgeous and the people that run there should be praised.

4. Speaking of Bayshore, you know that you would be going there for Gasperilla (aka Tampa’s National holiday).

No work is to ever be done during that weekend!

5. You may not be Cuban but you’re actually Cuban.

I bet you could go for some Cuban toast while reading this.

6. When you go to Oxford Exchange, you have to take a picture with the sign outside.
