15 Signs You’re The Mom Of Your Friend Group
Sometimes it is easy to tell if you are the mom of your friend group. In fact, you might just own up to it on your Instagram, SnapChat, or those other hip social media sites. But at times, it can be kind of unclear (like a smidgeon), and for those moments, look at these signs and see if they describe you as the mom of your friend group.
1. You are the go-to for advice.
Your wisdom is undisputed and comforting.
2. Especially when you are the first to say, “I told you so”.
Whilst holding two gallons of icecream, CDs that fit the mood, and the perfect movies to cry to.
3. If they get sick, you’re there.
You make sure they are all set and that the sniffle is history. “Take that every four hours while alternately taking this. That cold will be history if I have any say in the matter.”
4. You can be reached at all times of the day.
It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, you are always available to gab.
5. You worry about your friends incurring bad habits and list all the reasons why they shouldn’t do this or that.
6. If someone betrays your friend, you are planning that persons’ downfall.
Every single step to create a hell just for them. All the while, in real-life, you are super passive-aggressive.
7. As soon as the words “I don’t know what to do, I need help,” or anything slightly similar is heard, you are right there by their side.
“Okay, so this goes there. No, you silly goose, THERE.”
8. You are more excited than they are when things work out for them.
“OMG, YOU DID IT!!!! I KNEW YOU WOULD! I’M SO PROUD OF YOU!”
9. Reminders on deadlines are a major part of your texts.
You are the one to text your friend, “Don’t forget to call so-and-so tomorrow.”
10. Concern is your number one emotion.
11. “Do you want a drink?” “Here’s a blanket.” “Are you comfortable?”
These are a few things you always say when a friend is over.
12. If you attend parties, you don’t drink because you are automatically the designated driver.
It’s a part of your soul.
13. Your purse is a pharmacy, snack store, and whatever else is needed.
14. If your friend just got a new girlfriend/boyfriend, you want to sit them down so they can answer the million and one questions you have.
15. You are your friend’s personal cheerleader, telling them they can do it, etc.
You know they are the best and you tell them so.
