How To Make The Most Of The Winthrop University Dining Hall
Along with this new journey that freshmen are about to embark on comes the decoding of new food options as well (or lack thereof.) The dining hall may be delicious for the first few days or weeks but I promise it won’t be that way forever. Here are a few ways to make the most of the Winthrop University Dining Hall!
1. Load it up with flavor.
The flavor includes salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, any condiments, dressings, seasonings…the works.
2. When in doubt…get cereal.
If there is absolutely NOTHING that tickles your fancy, get a bowl of cereal. You can never go wrong there. It comes straight from the box.
3. Go to the Student Center.
Winthrop’s Student Center (DiGs) has a food court. And it saves lives, I promise, but only until you get sick of that too.
4. Try something new.
If there is no pizza or no burgers that day, try something new! Maybe there’s a new type of meat the staff is cooking up. I can’t guarantee it’ll be good, but try it!
5. Make your own salad.
Winthrop’s cafe has a salad bar with a bunch of different topping options. You can even go to the deli if you want to put some ham or turkey on it (if you’re fancy.)
6. Call your mom!
If there’s absolutely nothing you can do and none of the above tips help, call your mom, she will save the day. She will either give you advice on what to eat from the cafe, or put money in your account to get something worth eating.
Welcome to college, and all the good and bad things that come along with it.
