10 GIFs That Accurately Describe What It’s Like To Be A Student At Pace University
Every student at Pace University knows they have a great lifestyle at one of the best universities. We’ve put together a list of GIFs that accurately describe what it’s like to be a student at Pace University, that is guaranteed to be relatable!
1. We’re all broke let’s be real. NYC is super expensive yet there’s so much to do!
Freestuff is your new bff. Events and meetings 9 out of 10 times have free food (pizza lovers heaven) or giveaways of some sort! I received free admission to the homecoming concert with Ke$sha and Desiigner from attending a meeting! GO TO MEETINGS GET INVOLVED AND GET THE FREE STUFF! As for NYC there’s a ton of things to do for free, well you might need a Metrocard. We’re right by the Brooklyn Bridge and Battery Park (definitely worth checking out) oh and several museums have free admissions or pay what you wish!
2. Finally you’re away from home and no one’s going to remind you to eat your veggies and drink plenty of water.
There are so many options in the caf you’ll probably find yourself eating fries or pizza five times a week (sorry mom and dad). But that’s okay we all do it, and sometimes fries are the only thing we need after a stressful week of classes and maybe to cry a little over upcoming assignments.
3. Now if you need a place to cry (actually or figuratively) the Fish Bowl is your place.
It’s where you’ll find commuter students ranting about the train delay that morning, students going off about an assignment they forgot to do, and pretty much everything else. It’s the place I go to cry during finals ( the first table on the left absorbed hours of my tears last semester).
4. Now for some happy news! The caf is open late on Fridays (10-12) which means you can get PASTA late!
I’m absolutely obsessed with the caf pasta, I could probably spend all my meal plan on it #sorrynotsorry
5. More happy news: STARBUCKS IS ON THE MEAL PLAN!
You know what that means right? Majority of the students need their daily dose of Starbs. If you’re one of those students then avoid going during common hour or right when classes get out or you will be like Kim K, “so annoyed” with waiting in the mile long line.
6. You’ll always be tired.
If you don’t dorm crash in the library upstairs, or even the Fishbowl! Unless you’re lucky to have a friend who dorms. You will need a nap at some point, especially after a 4 hour lecture.
7. Elevator traffic is a nightmare.
Do not and I mean do not wait till 5min before class to go to the elevators if your class is on the 5th or 6th floor. Well, unless you want to be late or want to end up sprinting up the stairs with one minute till start of class (not a bad idea to get in your daily exercise).
8. No one’s going to judge you for how you dress or what music you listen to!
Really no one will, and if they do tell them bye. Everyone is so diverse here so people are really accepting of the differences. So show off your concert merchandise and crazy hair, it’s NYC for heavens sake: express yourself!
9. Class out early? It’s time to celebrate even if it’s only three minutes.
It’s amazing when professors you have for three or four consecutive hours cut class short. Shoutout to my professor for letting us leave early from a four hour lecture (yes i took a four hour class)
10. Finally, if Pleasantville gets a snow day NYC does too automatically. Bless up.
