20 Reasons Why USC Is The Absolute Best

When looking for my future university for my studies, I stopped at USC and heard statements such as “USC is the best school on earth” or “You’ll never find any other university as prestigious as USC.” Those statements at this time were for me too good to be true. Little did I know that after spending a semester at USC, I can say this school is like no other. Here are 20 reasons (in my opinion and the world’s opinion) why USC is the absolute best!

1. The ALL YEAR sunshine!

With daily temperatures reaching the 70’s and nearly no rain all year, USC students do not need to go on holidays. Students can take a break from studies and go sunbathing between their classes. What more could we ask?!

2. You might be starred in the next blockbuster movie.

USC is known to be the favorite place for film crews as many movies and TV shows are filmed right here every year. Who knows? You might be getting out of an exhausting midterm and step into a famous movie star or director on your way home. There is no better way to experience the Hollywoodian aspect of Los Angeles!

3. We have the coolest marching band on earth.

Hearing the marching band of USC really makes you feel happy and positive for the rest of your day. They are present in every USC event, ready to make everyone dance and sing.

4. The Trojan Spirit/Family

Coming to USC is discovering a new home and meeting with students/faculty that become your second family. There is definitely a big spirit within the school, clearly obvious when you see how students start tailgating as early as 7am for USC football team.

5. The school is literally in the middle of where everything happens.

Downtown LA is the center of everything. From amazing restaurants to the best venues, downtown is the place to be if you want to enjoy your LA experience at its fullest.

6. More and more clubs and organizations every semester.

USC is home to hundreds of unique clubs and organizations, offering students the opportunity to find their passions and hobbies. From religious clubs to sports clubs or art clubs, you will find hard to make a choice, trust me.

7. You’ll meet every nationality you can think of.

USC regroups students from all parts of the world making it one of the most diverse universities in the United States. USC can be considered as a melting pot, really. Your knowledge about cultures of the world will incredibly increase by being at USC.

8. Networking is the keywork of USC.

USC is known to be a school with opportunities to make lots of connections. From major companies coming to campus to prestigious and engaged professors, you’ll have the opportunity to become expert at networking and get internships and jobs internships very easily.

9. Legendary school for its Greek life.

Fraternities and Sororities at USC are a very important part of the school. Even if you don’t being part of the Greek society at USC, going to one of their parties will show you how huge Greek life is.

10. Most beautiful campus in USA (in my opinion).

Ranked as one of the most beautiful campus on earth by most newspapers, USC has truly a stunning campus with a unique architecture. It feels good to walk around and see all those beautiful buildings around you. It truly gives you the motivation to come to class every day.

11. You’ll find every type of food you want.

USC literally offers every kind of food you might crave. From Indian food, to the best sandwiches you will ever taste to delicious acai bowls, you’ll find your food heaven right here on campus unless you’re the most picky person on earth.

12. There is a Cupcake ATM on campus (No kidding!)

Yes, you just read it. There is an actual ATM on campus where you can get cupcakes instead of money. I don’t know about you but I’m grateful everyday to have cupcakes on campus that get me through the semester.

13. You’ll get overwhelmed by all the amazing events on campus.

USC literally organizes events all the time, every day. From cultural events to academic ones, you’ll always have something to do if you want to take a break from your studies or have fun with your friends.

14. Best Study Abroad Opportunities

USC offers study abroad programs literally everywhere. From far away countries such as New Zealand to out-of-state countries like New York, you will have the opportunity to live the Trojan experience in a new city surrounded by a new culture.

15. People that are now famous went to USC.

I don’t know if you heard but celebrities such as Will Farrell, Lily Collins or America Ferrera are USC alumni. Isn’t that the coolest thing ever?!!!

16. Ambitious Students

Every single student at USC have one thing in common: ambition. You can be be the extreme difference of your fellow student but you both have the same ambition to be the best at what you do. It truly keeps me motivated to give the best of me every day.

17. Unique Research Opportunities

USC is known to be one of the best places for research. Opportunities for research in all fields are offered every year at USC.

18. Football!

USC has one of the most recognized football team participating in multiple games all year long. Whether you’re a football fan or not, you’ll be amazed by the huge place our football team has in our hearts.

19. Close connections to professors!

One of my favorite things at USC is that professors care about their students a lot. Not only they help you succeed in your area of studies but they try to know you personally and offer you the best advice for you career.

20. The look people give you when you say you’re at USC.

Getting the “WOW” comment when you tell somebody you’re at USC directly lets you know how USC is the absolute best!!!
