8 Moisturizers To Keep Your Skin Hydrated During The Winter Months

As of yesterday, we have fully entered the fall weather season. To my Bostonians, we were greeted with thunder and rain for most of the entire day. And, guess what? The next day, the weather was below the 60s. so if you are an autumn lover, or not, I am giving you the proper welcome, with these 8 moisturizers that will keep your skin hydrated and plump throughout the days of the winter months.

1. Barrier+Triple Lipid-Peptide Face Cream

Does your face during the winter months tend to be dry and lacks luster? Are all the creams you have in your vanity don’t do justice? The Barrier – Triple Lipid face cream from Skinfix is an award-winning moisturizer clinically proven to restore and support the skin barrier.

2. Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Therapeutic Multi-Purpose Cream

Cicaplast Baume B5 is a multipurpose soothing cream used on cracked, chapped, or dehydrated skin. The best part is that it is suitable for children and adults in all areas of the face and body. I met this bad boy during the pandemic when binging on shows, and 3 am was the daily norm of my routine – incorporating this cream not only helped my dry and tired skin look the best throughout the day, but it kept it moisturized when I did the bare minimum. The best part about this product is that is accessible and easy to find in drugstores– CVS or Walgreens and it only costs $14.99.

3. Triple Lip Restore Cream

We all have heard how amazing SkinCeuticals is. And while they are on the pricier side, there’s nothing more worth spending your money on something that will work. This moisturizer is similar to Skinfix, an emollient that penetrates your skin without being comedogenic. Their 3 key ingredients are essential lipids – they mainly work to keep your skin’s elasticity looking the best. Vitamin E – is a cell repair that helps fight environmental damage. And their last main ingredient is lavender and rosemary oils – responsible for fighting signs of aging. And who doesn’t want that?

4. Oat So Water Cream

Have you heard of Crave Beauty? It’s a sustainable brand that caters to using what nature has given us in the best way possible while providing an inclusive community. Oat So Water Cream is a light base cream best used during the days and pairs perfectly under makeup while still protecting your skin from the harsh winds. Crave Beauty is all about resetting and listening to what your skin needs. Their products are made with gentle formulas for sensitive girls and boys. Besides the matcha-hemp hydrating cleanser being my number one, Oat So Water Cream, which follows right under, their light scented cream, makes my skin feel like a baby’s butt– soft, replenished, hydrated, and plump.

5. Jet Lag Mask

It may not be an actual cream, but the Jet Lag face mask is one you always want to carry as a pick-me-up between meetings or when your skin has stretched its last water molecules. The Summer Fridays bestselling product is made with glycerin, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid – 3 best-known ingredients for bringing your skin barrier radiance and, as they say, ready for anything. If you dislike your products being scented, this one Is fragrance-free. One of my favorite ways to apply the jet lag mask is by using it as an under-eye prep before adding any concealer. As we know, our under eyes are the lightest skin on our entire face, so ensuring our under eyes are prepped and hydrated makes the concealer process more enjoyable.

6. CeraVe Healing Ointment

The perfect “cream” to slug. And what is slugging? I like to call TikTok the second google as my search engine. Slugging is slathering your face with petroleum jelly that repairs damaged skin, protects it, and also moisturizes it. Beauty Gurus have claimed that it has given them a glow and plumpness to their skin. While this is a thick ointment, it still creates that barrier to restore your skin barrier. You may have to get accustomed to this as you will be going to bed feeling like a snail – slimy and sort of mucus-like.

7. COSRX Advance Snail 92 All In One Cream

Talking about being slimy, another moisturizer that I absolutely love is the advance 92 Snail cream. It is compacted with 92% of snail mucin, described on the Corsx website as a rich type of gel that instantly absorbs into the skin with complete nourishment.

I have seen the wonders that this cream has done to my skin. I like to layer my face with this cream, as it hydrates my acne whenever I break out. A versatile product like this one, I enjoy using it during the days and nights as it plays between the middle range of not too thick or too thin for a cream – it’s just right with the perfect amount of moisture.

8. Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream

Anything that has Hyaluronic acid is bound to be compacted with hydration. The superfood Air-Whip Moisturizer is another light cream perfect for combo or oily skin. It also targets skin elasticity while having the nutrients of vitamins C, E, and K. One of the reasons why I enjoy this product is its soothing properties. It feels refreshing, radiant, and smooth. As someone on the drier side during the winter months, this product caters best when my skin needs an a-pick-me-up during my long shifts at work.
