This delicious chocolate bark combines all the tastiness of chocolate with the healthiness of seeds and berries. If you want to try to make this healthy dessert, you’ll need 2 cups of dark chocolate– the healthiest kind of chocolate you can find! You’ll also need 1/4 cup of chopped roasted hazelnuts, 1 tablespoon of goji berries, 1 tablespoon of pumpkin seeds, 1 teaspoon of hemp seeds, and 1 teaspoon of chia seeds. If you have your own preference in berries, seeds, or nuts, feel free to supplement them in or replace other ingredients, as they all work well. Start by pouring your dark chocolate chips into a bowl. Then, fill a pot halfway with water, and bring this water to a boil. Lower the heat and place the chocolate bowl on top. The heat should melt the chocolate, along with your help by using a spatula to stir. Remove the melted chocolate from the pot, and pour it into a parchment-lined pan. Use your spatula to spread the chocolate, and sprinkle the rest of your ingredients over the top. Place the pan into your refrigerator for a half-hour. Your delicious chocolate dessert should be ready, so simply cut the bark into pieces and enjoy!
These salty and sweet cookies are unlike the average cookie in many ways! Not only are they far healthier, but you don’t even need to bake them, making them just about the most convenient cookie you’ll find. To make these no-bake cookies, you’ll need 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 stick of unsalted butter, 3 cups of rolled oats, 1 cup of smooth peanut butter, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, and a large pinch of kosher salt. Begin creating this healthy dessert by pouring your butter, sugar, and milk into a saucepan. Bring this to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, and let it boil for a minute. After removing it from heat, add your oats, peanut butter, vanilla, and salt. Fully combine this mixture. Then, using a teaspoon, drop orbs of this cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let these sit at room temperature for about a half-hour, then refrigerate them for about 3 days. Try not to eat them all in one sitting!
To make this fruity recipe, you’ll need 2 cups of shredded coconut, 1/3 cup of coconut flour, 10 tablespoons of unrefined coconut oil, 9 tablespoons of sugar, a pinch teaspoon of salt, 3 cups of canned coconut milk, 7 tablespoons of cornstarch, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and about 3 cups of raspberries. Start by mixing your shredded coconut, coconut flour, 9 tablespoons of coconut oil, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and your pinch of salt. You will place this crust batter into a tart pan and spread it evenly. Bake this for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees, keeping a close eye to ensure it doesn’t burn. Let the crust cool for an hour, then refrigerate it until it is firm. Now, the filling requires you to pour half your coconut milk, along with your remaining sugar and salt, into a saucepan over medium heat. Mix your remaining coconut milk with the cornstarch. Remove the mixture from the heat and combine the two. Put it back on the heat until this mixture thickens like a pudding, whisking constantly. Remove from the heat once again and add the vanilla and coconut oil. Pour this mixture into your crust, and top with raspberries. This vegan recipe may be a little delicate, but the combination of coconut and fresh raspberries make it worth it.
Oatmeal cookies are classic and should be on any dessert list worth it’s salt. You can easily customize these cookies with whatever you want– cinnamon, chocolate chips, raisins, berries, nuts, they’re all good choices. To make these amazing cookies, you’ll need 2 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 sticks of unsalted butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, 1 tablespoon of molasses, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, and 3 cups of whole rolled oats. Start by whisking together your flour, baking soda, and salt. Then, using a hand-mixed, beat your butter on medium-high until smooth. Add your sugars and continue to beat for about 2 more minutes. Then add your eggs, molasses, and vanilla, and beat for another minute. Add your dry ingredients and mix the batter on low. You’ll want the lowest possible speed when you stir in oats, plus any other ingredients you want like chocolate chips or berries. Cover the dough and let it chill in the fridge for about an hour. Scoop the batter into a parchment-lined sheet, and bake four about fifteen minutes at 350 degrees. Use a wire rack to let the cookies cool, and then eat away.
Here we have one of the rarest healthy desserts you’ll find: cheesecake! To make this cheesecake, you’ll need 1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of melted butter, 4 ounces of cream cheese, 1 cup of Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons of key lime zest, 1 tablespoon of key lime juice, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. You’ll also need a muffin pan with 9 muffin papers. Melt your butter, and mix in 1 tablespoon of sugar plus your graham crackers. Divide this mixture evenly among your muffin tins. Use a handheld mixer to beat your cream cheese, followed by Greek yogurt, remaining sugar, egg, key lime zest, key lime juice, and vanilla. Once they are thoroughly mixed, spoon about 2 tablespoons of this filling into each muffin paper. Bake these for about a half-hour at 350 degrees. Once they’re cool, you can enjoy this citrus cheesecake delight!
Yet another fruity healthy dessert, but this one has some flairs of cinnamon and other sugary goodness. To make these warm, buttery apples, you’ll need 4 apples, 1 cup of rolled oats, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, 1/4 cup of butter, and, if you want, some vanilla ice cream to go with. Core each apple and arrange them on a baking sheet. Mix your oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon together, and evenly mix in the butter. Split this mixture evenly among your apples. Place them into the oven for about a half-hour at 350 degrees. These go great with ice cream but are just as delicious on their own.
This final recipe is a frosty cold treat, combining a few delicious fruits into one amazing popsicle. You’ll need 1 container of Greek or vanilla yogurt, 2/3 cup of orange juice concentrate, 2 large bananas, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, and for good favor, some lime zest. Simply blend your ingredients together, and pour them into small paper cups. Put these cups in the freezer for about four hours. Once these smoothies are frozen, they’ll become amazingly delicious fruity popsicles, ready for a summer’s day.
