1. Carne Asada Tacos

This would not be a carne asada list if I did not name the ultimate classic. Carne asada tacos offer a unique sense of heat with the sweet fresh crunch of veggies. Raw onion is a must on these sweet and spicy tacos. If you want a recipe that will feed yourself and others, try this recipe out.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 pinch cumin
  • 1 pinch oregano
  • 1 ½ pound skirt steak, cut into half inch pieces
  • 12 corn tortillas, warmed
  • ¾ onion, diced
  • ½ cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 lime cut into wedges, for serving

Directions

Begin by taking a medium mixing bowl and add your soy sauce, canola oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin and oregano. In a Ziploc bag, pour in your lime juice mixture and add your steak. Marinate for at last 1 hour and up to 4 hours. The longer you let it marinate the more flavor it’ll have. Heat the remaining oil in a large pan over medium high heat.
