Packing for a trip is something we all often put off until last minute. It’s so hard to plan out your outfits before actually going on the trip because who knows what they’re actually going to wear until the day of. I’m sure all of us has tried to plan out outfits for the next day, or even the whole week, and scrapped all of them. You don’t really know what you’re going to wear until the day of and you’re standing in front of your closet, looking at all of the options. But when it comes to packing your whole life into a suitcase, some methodical planning must happen. And as long as you have the space in your luggage, does it really matter how much clothes we pack? If you have an idea beforehand of the kinds of outfits you want to wear during your trip, you can throw pieces into your suitcase that could turn into an outfit. To have some outfits ready to go upon arrival, it’s time to make some decisions. Decisions, decisions, decisions. So many decisions to be made. Thinking about everything that you have planned, outfits needed for any spontaneous adventures, if it’s colder than expected, warmer than you thought it would be, see just how hard it is? To help curb some of this difficult decision making, here are, what we think to be, five trustworthy and stylish outfits to pack on your next trip.
Dresses are easy to throw on while on a trip while still being stylish and fashionable. For a warmer destination you can fit a short sleeved tee under a cute overall dress like the one in the picture below. If you’re headed to a wintry place, wear a sweater and fleece-lined tights, and bunch up with a warm coat, in order to step outside in a cute outfit like this one. An outfit like this one is trustworthy for any destination because it can be altered to the weather and whatever kind of activities you’ll be up to. Wear lil’ white sneakers for a summer look or throw on a pair of brown boots to keep those toes warm in the chilly air.
Finding a piece while looking through the depths of thrift store is such a fun and exciting thing to do. Bringing your favorite clothes with you on a trip is a sure way to know that you have some good options to style a fit while on vacation. I’ve often found some of my favorite clothes from a thrift store rather than a retail store. When packing for a trip, it’s not the time to expand horizons and bring the pieces you don’t wear too much. It’s much more comfortable to bring the clothes that you already love. At thrift stores you can find cute crewneck pullover, which can be layered up with a turtleneck underneath. Be sure to pack your go-to favorite jeans, and cool kicks to finish off the fit. Shoes are the secret weapon to making any outfit looking stylish, especially having a trusty pair of Nikes.
Layering is one of the most stylish and skillful fashion trends as of lately. A collection of pieces that seamlessly go together create depth and shape to create a stunning outfit like the one below. This is one of the outfits that you’ll sort of have to do a bit of pre-planning and finesse to be able to pack it. Try on the fit beforehand and make sure you like how it all flows together, and if you want you can bring alternative pieces to switch out. Layering is a skill that you have to practice to get good at. See how the white crop top is the base layer, then over that is the black see-through tied top, and then over top of it all is the black leather coat. Wearing tights below is a skirt is a good way to start to practice layering. I personally love doing this and wearing tall knee high boots to look taller.
If you want to pack an outfit that will spice it up from the others, pack an outfit that includes funky pants to do so. A cool pair of pants will be the highlight of the outfit, the centerpiece in which everything must flow around. Since the pants are out there, the top should be kept neutral. Use the picture below as a guide to show how you can wear a cute but neutral top with a loud pair of pants. And Nikes go with just about everything. A good website to find cute, funky pants is shopcider.com. They have cute, colorful, and affordable jeans as well as tops that match perfectly with the pants. You can choose these ones or go with something you already have in your closet. This outfit is for sure a trustworthy option to bring on any trip. If you’re going somewhere cold, wear a hoodie and coat with a cool pair of pants. It’s a trustworthy outfit for any destination trip you have booked.
For those days when you don’t have a clue what to pull together, an all black outfit has got your back. I have to keep myself from packing all clothes that are just black, it’s just the easiest thing to go to. And it doesn’t have to be boring. Try wearing black corduroy pants, a slouchy band tee, and an oversized leather jacket for a change. With black boots and black shades, you’ll look edgy and like a rockstar. Or keep it cute with a black tennis skirt, a black baby tee, and black hightop converse. Stylish and easy to throw on. No matter the destination, or time of year, this all black moment will forever be a trustworthy and stylish outfit.
