These plants are extremely resilient. Spider ferns are forgiving when it comes to missing a week of water. They thrive in bright indirect sunlight, making them perfect for any interior decorating. They come in all sizes, making it so they can fit any living space. Even better, they are relatively cheap. Spider ferns range from $10 to $15, depending on their size.I personally have a spider fern and the thing about these beauties is you have to watch their soil. Spider ferns require well drained soil, and if not properly drained, will mold. Make sure you drain your spidey friend before placing it back in it’s sunny place.  If you’re looking for a way to brighten up your space, try this spindly spider fern to liven up your room’s look.

5. Lady Fern

While these ferns are more common in the plant world, their beauty is unmatched. Lady ferns always remind of a prehistoric era with it’s delicate curling tips and fine feathered leaves. They are a smaller version of an ancient plant that has long been extinct. Their beauty is timeless and their maintenance rather low. These ferns require what is known as loamy soil. Meaning, that they do well in decomposing shredded oak leaves or other organic material. This soil is semi acidic. And this acidity is necessary when providing a lady fern with it’s proper nutrients. These plants have to be well drained. Their roots are delicate and may rot if there is too much moisture left to them. In addition, these are one of the few ferns that do well outdoors. These ferns love coastal weather where fog is present. They can bloom into full blown curling bushes. In the right conditions, lady ferns stay green year round.  If you’re looking to travel back in time, try these bright green beauties.
