5 Cute DIY Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas
Whether you’ve been with your special someone for years, or only a short period of time, picking the perfect Valentine’s Day gift can be difficult. You could go the shiny, new (and expensive) route…OR you could go the more personalized, meaningful route with a DIY gift. Either way, it can be hard coming up with ideas to make it the most special day possible. To get you started, I’ve put together 5 of my favorite DIY Valentine’s Day gift ideas that are super easy and crazy cheap!
1. 52 Reasons Why I Love You Cards
visualheart.com
My personal favorite is the “52 reasons why I love you” playing cards idea. I’ve done this one in the past and I must say, it’s certainly a nice reminder of your love for the other person. All you have to do is write a “reason” on the backside of each card (that way you won’t ruin the playing side and the cards can actually be utilized for games). To package them up nicely, puncture a hole in the top corner of each card (or 2 on the side if you prefer) and secure with binding or just some festive string or ribbon. I love this DIY Valentine’s Day gift idea!

2. Date Night Jar

Another really cute DIY that you can actually get some use out of is a date night jar. With this craft, you basically just write as many date ideas that you can think of (get creative) on Popsicle sticks (you could use paper if you wanted) and tuck them into the jar. The dates can include things you guys like to do together or things you guys have talked about doing but haven’t gotten the chance to. The next time you two are trying to make date night plans, grab the jar and pick a stick at random – plans solved!

3. Love Ball

Now, if your guy is a huge sports fan, this one is a great idea. Whatever the sport may be – baseball, football, tennis, etc – purchase the corresponding ball and write down all the reasons why he is such a “catch.” Clever, right? There’s definitely a chance that he could be a little disappointed when he figures out it’s not an autographed ball by a player he loves, but once he reads the sweet message from you, he’ll love it.

4. Personalized Coupons

For this one, you can go simple or you can go pretty extravagant. Coupons are always a great fall-back idea for any gift giving occasion, but they work especially well with a partner. Whether it’s a back rub or breakfast in bed, this is the gift that keeps on giving. There are free printouts that you can find all over Pinterest, or you can add your own flair and make them yourself!

5. Picture Frame

While an incredibly simple DIY Valentine’s Day gift, this one might be the most meaningful! Choose a picture that you both love and pop it into a nice frame. Along the edges of the interior border, write something special that really hits the heart. It could be anything from song lyrics, a poem, a letter, or even just a simple “I love you.”
