I wasn’t always a middle child. I was living the high life of being the youngest for three years – like Stephanie Tanner from Full House – before my sister was born. I don’t remember it, but I’m sure it was fabulous. Then, I became the middle child. If you’re with me, middies, these are the 20 signs that you know you’re stuck in the crossroads like I am.
If you want it, you make it happen. If you don’t, you’ll most likely end up being the observant child and staying out of the way.
Let’s face it, middies; we’re a really easy target.
Do you want to go out? Sure, but take your sister with you to wherever she needs to go, and while you’re at it, pick up some eggs and milk before you go.
Spot a top at the mall? Forget it. Your sister has some great tops collecting dust in her closet that are begging for attention.
It’s almost like getting picked last for second grade kickball.
She knows she can rely on you.
Just ask Keri Hilson. She knows.
Even though it probably isn’t exciting at all.
Because after all, you are the favorite; and middle children will always be the coolest kids in our own unique, middle child way.
