15 Effortless Beauty Tips Every Girl Should Follow

Life is tough, but your beauty routine shouldn’t be. And guess what – it doesn’t have to be! Check out these 15 effortless beauty tips that will save time, energy and keep you looking on point 24/7! After all, who doesn’t want to look effortlessly beautiful?

1. Always, always, always wash your face before you go to bed.

The easiest way to look effortlessly gorgeous is to keep your skin clean and hydrated. Always make sure to remove your makeup from that day and splash some water over your face to get rid of any dirt buildup. You tend to sweat when you sleep, so keeping your pores clean and open before you hit the hay will help lower the risk of blemishes.

2. Braid or twist your hair before you go to sleep.

Sometimes you just need to hit that snooze button one extra time, which often means not enough time to actually put the effort in to do your hair. Instead, braid your hair, or pin it up in little twists (as shown below) right before you go to bed. In the morning you will look like a mermaid – yeah, you woke up like that!

3. Use ice water to dry your manicure…wait, what?!

This probably sounds counter intuitive, but if you slip your wet nails under cold water, it speeds up the drying process!

4. Use lipstick to rosy up your cheeks in a pinch.

Of course, you could always buy a multi use product that can be used on your cheeks and lips, but if you’re in a crunch, just follow this beauty tip instead. Smudge a very light layer of lipstick onto your cheeks and blend with your fingers for an instant rosy glow.

5. Toss some baking powder on your roots for instant volume.

If you don’t have any dry shampoo on hand, you can keep your hair looking healthy, clean, and voluminous with a dash of baking powder. Just sprinkle some on your roots and massage into your scalp. Be sure to massage until the powder dissolves (you don’t want to be walking around with white flakes in your hair!).

6. For extra soft feet, moisturize and wear socks to bed.

Pedicures take time and effort, but not with this beauty tip. Before you go to bed, moisturize your feet and cover them with your favorite fuzzy socks. When you wake up, your toes will look like you’ve just left the nail salon!

7. Make your eyeshadow pop with concealer.

To make your eyeshadow colors vibrant, make sure to cover your eyelids with concealer first. This is your base and primer that will allow the vividness of your eyeshadows to shine through! It is a small step that make a big difference.

8. Make your lipstick last longer with translucent powder.

I live by this beauty tip! There is nothing worse than having your lipstick smudge off an hour after applying it. Next time you apply lipstick, blot your lips with a tissue, and use that same tissue to cover your lips as you apply translucent powder over the top of your lips. This keeps the color lasting all day long!

9. Invest in coconut oil.

Coconut oil is all the rave, but there is a reason why – it works! You can put coconut oil on your cuticles, your lips, eyelids to remove makeup, tips of your hair, and anywhere else on your body to moisturize and keep your skin looking  gorgeous and healthy!

10. Get your beauty rest.

This beauty tip requires the least effort, but that doesn’t make it any less important.  Instead of staying up until 3 am watching your favorite Netflix show, go to bed at a decent time and give your body the rest it deserves.

11. Keep teeth looking white-as-can-be with baking soda and lemon juice.

Everyone wants whiter teeth, but it can be a hassle…an expensive hassle for that matter. BUT, not when you follow this beauty tip! Mix baking soda and lemon juice, and rub the paste onto your teeth for a whiter and brighter smile! Don’t believe me? This video is proof.

12. Use a cotton ball to get fuller lashes…yes, a cotton ball.

Who doesn’t want longer, luscious lashes? Well now you can get them using a cotton ball! Check out the tutorial below for a step-by-step tutorial.

13. Reduce puffy eyes with tea.

Sometimes we aren’t able to get our beauty sleep, and our eyes show it. Counteract puffy eyes by applying a cold tea bag to them first thing in the morning. The coldness will decrease circulation, limiting fluid buildup while the tannins in the tea will draw out some of the fluid, too. Five minutes later, nobody will be able to tell you’re sleep deprived, except maybe the two espressos in your hands!

14. Coffee filters are great for blotting away oil.

In college, we all have coffee filters in our dorm rooms, but somehow we never go through the whole stash – which is good news for this beauty tip. Store a few extra filters in your purse to use whenever your out and need a quick freshening up. Just tear a piece off and blot away!

15. Use tape for the perfect cat eye.

Winged eyeliner is hard, plain and simple! But with a piece of scotch tape (or even a sticky note), it becomes a lot easier!
