15 Easy Hairstyles For Natural Hair

Finding an easy natural hairstyle can feel impossible at times. The “easy” tutorials” are either too complex or the hair style can’t be applied to your hair pattern. Here are 15 easy hairstyles for natural hair that I guarantee you will love.

1. The Braided Bangs Puff

This is a perfect hairstyle for going to class, or any other casual setting. To get this look, simply part your hair down the middle then pull it back into a ponytail. If your hair is long, then you can substitute the puff with a bun. To do this, place your finger in the center of your ponytail then wrap your hair around it until it looks like a doughnut, then pull a rubber band over it to hold it in place.Next, use your rat tail comb to make a part on both sides of the middle part as if you were making bangs. After your bangs are sectioned, braid them and you’re ready to go.

2. Messy Space Buns

To get this look, part your hair into two sections down the middle. Next, pull each section into a ponytail on the top of your head, then wrap each ponytail into a bun like in the previous hairstyle. After this, use your rat tail comb to pull small amounts of hair from your edges near the middle part. Repeat this process with the edges near your ear.

*Tip*(Use a little curling gel on your loose hairs and twirl them around your finger. This will help the curls look more defined).

3. Curly Bangs Puff

This hairstyle is similar to the braided bangs puff, but instead of pulling all of your hair back you’re going to use your rat tail comb to section off the front of your hair for your bangs. Next, pull the rest of your hair into a ponytail. You can either leave it in a puff or wrap it in a bun. Now let’s get to the bangs. Brush the bangs forward, then use a curling cream to define your curls. Run your fingers through your bangs until they are styled to your liking.

4. Curly Bangs Puff (Headband Edition)

Adding a headband to your hairstyle is always a good choice. You can coordinate it with your outfit and give your look that extra oomph. To get this look, you will follow the exact same steps as the previous hairstyle. Afterwards you will take a headband of your choosing and tie it between your puff and your bangs.

5. Half Up-Half Down Bun

To get this look, use your rat tail comb to make a part from your left ear to your right ear. Pull the front of your hair into a ponytail, then wrap it into a bun. Use a curling cream to run your fingers through the back of your hair until the curls are to your liking, then you’re all set.

6. Flat Twisted Headband

To get this look, use your rat tail comb to part your hair as if you were making bangs. Pull back the rest of your hair with a hair tie or hair clip so it does not get in the way while you flat twist. Part the front of your hair into two sections and flat twist each one until you reach the end of the section. Continue to twist the loose hair all the way to the end. Take down the back of your hair that you sectioned off and use a curling cream to run your fingers through it until the curls are to your liking. The flat twist should keep the rest of your hair back like a headband. If you want, add beads to the end of your twist to make the style even better.

7. Half Up-Half Down Space Buns

To get this look, use your rat tail comb to make a part from your left ear to your right ear.Pull back the rest of your hair with a hair tie or hair clip so it does not get in the way while you make the space buns. Part the front of your hair into two sections and wrap them into buns. Take down the back of your hair that you sectioned off and use a curling cream to run your fingers through it until the curls are to your liking.

8. French Braid Ponytail

To get this look, part your hair down the middle into two sections leaving a small section on the lower back of your head loose. This will help give the appearance of a longer or fuller ponytail. Braid each side of your head until you reach the loose hair at the bottom. Tie off the remaining hair and blend it with the loose hair underneath it.

9. Flat Twist Ponytail

Flat twisting is super easy and takes a lot less effort than braiding. To get this look, section your hair the same way as the French braid ponytail. Instead of braiding the two sections, you will be twisting them. Twist until you reach the loose hair at the bottom, then tie off the remaining hair and blend it with the hair underneath it. This style is similar to the French braid ponytail, and quicker to do. It’s also a good style for people who don’t know how to braid on the scalp.

10. Side Braids With Low Buns

This is an easy natural hairstyle that will make you feel like a hair stylist. To get this look, separate your hair into two sections by parting it down the middle. Then part those sections down the middle. Braid both sections on each side until you reach the loose ends. Tie each side off, then wrap them into buns. This hairstyle can also be reversed with the buns at the top of your head and the side braids going up the back of your head.

11. Twist-Out

You will need to do this style the night before you want to wear it to give it time to set. Make sure that your hair is wet and you are using a curling cream. To get this look, part your hair down the middle, then part it again from your left ear to your right ear. This should give you four sections. Now part each section into another four sections like tally marks, these will be for your flat twist. You should have four flat twists in each section giving you sixteen twists in total. You can add more twists for smaller curls or make less twists for bigger curls. Take your hair down the next morning and you’re done.

12. Braid-Out

This hairstyle also requires you to style it the night before you want to wear it so it can have time to set. Make sure that your hair is wet and you are using a curling cream. To get this look, you will part your hair the same way as the twist-out. Instead of doing flat twists, you will make four braids in each section giving you sixteen braids in total. Like the twist-out, you can make more or less braids depending on what size you want your waves to be.Take your hair down the next morning and you’re done.

13. Natural Puff

This hairstyle is the easiest of them all. Simply pull all of your hair into a ponytail on the top of your head and fluff your hair until your curls are to your liking. You can make this style even better by wrapping your hair in a headband.

14. Bun Mohawk

This hairstyle is also quick and easy to do. To get this look, simply part your hair into three sections. One at the top of your head, the middle of your head, and the back of your head. Tie each section off with a hair tie and then wrap each one into a bun. Your bun mohawk is now complete.

15. Bantu Knots With Side Braids

This hairstyle is definitely my favorite. It’s so easy to do, yet looks like you went to the salon to get it done. To get this look, part your hair into three sections. One at the top of your head, the middle of your head, and the back of your head. Next, section off some hair for your braids above both of your ears. Make three ponytails going across each section. Twist each ponytail, then wrap each twist around itself using a rubber band to hold it together. Finally, braid the hair you sectioned off above both ears and you’re done. You can add beads to the ends of your braids to give them more style.

These hairstyles are super easy and can be applied to most hair types. Which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments.
