The wintry wind is picking up speed, wisping away those gorgeous fall leaves, blanketing frost across our once-green lawns, and leaving us chilled to the bone. Oh winter, my love/hate relationship with you runs deep. While we highly anticipate the winter’s first elegant snowfall, we also dread everything else the season brings – shoveling snow, holiday stress and frigid temperatures. There is one thing we can all look forward to during these colder months though – winter fashion. The perfect excuse to continue wearing fall’s coziest looks, here are 10 winter outfits that will never go out of style.

This is one of those winter outfits that will live longer than us all. A comfy knit sweater, a dark wash pair of skinny jeans, simple booties, a basic clutch, all topped with a fedora – classic.
Give the typical date night outfit a little winter touch and upgrade to over-the-knee boots coupled with a warm sweater dress. You could always stick to booties if the over-the-knee just isn’t your thing.
Flannel is one of our favorite trends for fall, but we equally love it carried over into our winter outfits. The perfect piece to don during a long day of holiday shopping as it provides comfort and cuteness. The best part about flannel is that it goes with just about anything – jeans, leggings, maxis – you name it!
Work parties (or any type of party where cleavage is probably frowned upon), you can never go wrong with winter outfits including an adorable sweater dress, classy booties, and a simple clutch.
But then, of course, there are times when you want to add a little extra oomph to your party outfit. No matter who you’re trying to impress (the boy from Chemistry class, perhaps?), pairing a loud patterned skirt with a neutral sweater, kick ass heels and an edgy necklace is the perfect way to grab some much wanted attention.
Whenever you’re in need of a comfy outfit that will keep you warm and stylish, you can’t go wrong with a turtleneck (or mockneck if you so desire), dark pants or leggings and booties. Floppy hats are the perfect addition to hide your tousled hair as you head out the door, late to brunch!
A statement coat – a winter outfit in itself. If you plan on spending the day outside in the brisk winter air, you are going to want to make sure you grab a coat. And why not make that coat one that’s completely adorable all on it’s own?
Distressed boyfriend jeans have found a place in the winter season, and boy am I glad. Great for lounging, throw on a pair of these loose-fitted denim, a chunky sweater, and if for whatever reason you find the need to wear shoes (c’mon your supposed to be LOUNGING), a pair of cute booties will do.
Making plans in the winter usually requires getting out of the house, or in other words, facing the snow. An unavoidable predicament – you might as well look cute while doing so. Invest in a patterned jacket to keep you warm, and a pair of boots with added insulation. Beanies will keep your hair safe from those pesky snowflakes, while a statement necklace will provide the perfect amount of sparkle.
Another one of our favorite winter outfits that will never go out of style – a long cardigan accompanied by a structured tote and a dangling necklace. His parent’s will be SO impressed!
