The more comfortable everyone is with each other, the more fun it will be, so I suggest inviting those who already know each other and keeping the introductions to a minimum.
While you want the setting to be filled with the Christmas spirit, it is better not to overwhelm your guests, so try not to go overboard with holiday decorations.
