If you watch ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ you’ve probably had a few “that sounds familiar” moments throughout the show…especially if you’re in college. Here are 10 times when that happened for me – 10 moments when PLL perfectly captured college life!
College is the time to be yourself, or find out who you really are. Join a club. Join a sorority. Go up and start a conversation with someone. Experiment with fashion. Find out who you are and be proud of that.
Whether we like to admit it or not, there comes a point in college where you feel like you’re on the verge of a nervous breakdown with no one to talk to. Homesickness, school, and just about everything in between makes you want to cry. Good news, it’s only temporary. Once you ace that test you’ve been stressing about or your family visits and brings a little bit of home with them, everything will seem right with the world. But the roller coaster doesn’t end there…
We all have that one guy we meet in college who almost seems too perfect. And he might be, or maybe it’s just the idea of him that you’re attracted to. Nevertheless, you get caught up in a whirlwind romance with no parents around and the freedom to make bad choices.
Of course this is followed with your first college breakup, and the feeling that you will never find love again.
College, at times, makes a person think their head is going to explode. With questions fluttering your brain like,
“Is it too late to rethink that major?” “Is there a test today?” “When is my next class?” “I feel like I have to do something, but I don’t know what.”
With papers, exams, classes, clubs, etc…it’s a wonder we remember to do the basic things. You know the ones, like eat and bathe.
We all reach this point when cramming for exams. Personally I think having 3 papers, 4 exams, and like 20 homework assignments is crazy. But it’s not crazy…it’s college. This point is what I like to call the ‘I feel like I learned so much, but nothing at all’ point.
Enough said.
Like when you don’t have any classes till 12, but you hear your roommate’s alarm go off at 8 am. UGH.
Eventually your pent up stress turns into anger and you likely let it out on your friends because, well, they happen to be there. The best part about college friends is that they are going though the same stress so they totally understand and don’t take it to heart. Instead, they shake you out of it. You guys are in this together!
