10 Television & Movie Characters Who Have Styles We Want to Steal
Television and Movies influence our lives and more often than not leave us with new ways of thinking, expand our imaginations, and sometimes even influence our desire to want to be or have a certain style of wardrobe they have! Yes, I am talking about 10 movie and television characters who have styles we want to steal!
1. Carrie Bradshaw
When I watched Sex And The City years ago, I thought to myself how amazing the wardrobe was for the characters, especially Carrie. If I were able to look stunning like her and strut around with unique dresses and shoes, I totally would! Carrie can be seen in the perfect black dress or a beautiful floral dress ready to hit the runway. No matter when you see her, she looks amazing. A recognizable scene from the show would be Carrie dancing in the closet. Who wouldn’t want to dance in a closet full of amazing outfits? Not only that, but the dress she is wearing is beautiful as well. Carrie Bradshaw is a fashion icon.
2. Elle Woods
When we first met Elle Woods, she was living it up with her hot boyfriend and thinking life could not get better, but eventually, she realized she wanted to prove how smart she was, not just superficial. She had terrific outfits in the film that upheld her being a law student, but she was stylish! Elle wore amazing dresses and blazers while still keeping her personality, and best of all, solve the case! Despite feeling out of place in law school, she always did what she could to make herself belong but stand out by just being herself.
3. Cher Horowitz
Clueless was filled with various fashions that fit both the period and, of course, the personality and class of each character. Cher was obsessed with clothes and fashion. She even had computer assistance with picking out her wardrobe each day. Whether she was strutting around in a short mini skirt, a matching gingham outfit with her best friend Dion, or wearing a gorgeous burgundy dress to a party she didn’t want to go to in the first place, Cher’s style was always immaculate. Cher and Dion even put their fashion skills to the test when they gave a makeover to their new friend Ty. We would love to have Cher’s wardrobe!
4. Lara Jean
To All The Boys I Ever Loved Before has blown up both in book and film form. The movies on Netflix show several pretty stylish characters for being in high school, but many people love Lara Jean’s outfits. While she may not have been the most popular girl in her school, she had style throughout the three films. Lara can be seen in a gorgeous airy light blue dress in the second film, and she is seen in a cute dress for Valentine’s dress in the same film. Whether she is wearing a preppy style or laid-back, relaxed outfit, she always looks put together.
5. Aria Montgomery
Pretty Little Liars was a longtime running Freeform show based on Sara Shepherd’s books of the same title. Aria Montgomery, played by Lucy Hale, always had some interesting and unique styles in the show. She stood out as far as style and personality can go. Sure, there were some questionable fashion choices, but they all made sense for her character and personality. The picture below is a fantastic silk red dress with a black bolero or shrug jacket over it, and we love it! We can often see her in a darker color scheme, but Aria will add color.
6. Hanna Marin
Pretty Little Liars character Hanna Marin was known for being fashion-forward and trendy. Once she catapulted to popularity, she and her best friend, Mona Vanderwaal, ruled the school while being completely fashionable. Hanna will often wear a beautiful dress, mini skirt dress, or gorgeous blouse tucked into a cute mini skirt to school. Hanna knows how to get attention, and she does it with how she carries herself and what she wears. She is full of confidence, and that radiates regardless of what she wears. We would love to have many dresses and outfits in our closets.
7. Buffy Summers
Buffy, The Vampire Slayer was a massive hit in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Buffy’s outfits were nothing less than stellar and fashion-forward. She kicked ass while looking fabulous! She wore leather pants, mini skirts, mini dresses, and knee-high boots. For a vampire-slaying teenager, she wore some kickass outfits.
8. Marissa Cooper
Marissa Cooper is from The O.C. As a teenager in California, she was sporting the most popular brands to school that most of us could not afford. She wore amazingly stylish outfits. You could always see Marissa with Chanel, Marc Jacobs, and more. Who could forget the Couture gown she wore to prom by Chanel! As far as style, there is no doubt that Marissa Cooper had it.
9. Olivia Pope
Olivia Pope from Scandal is always seen in gorgeous outfits. She always looks perfect and put together. Pope can be seen with Prada bags and trendy jackets. Olivia is always dressed to impress, whether it is a power suit, a gown, or a peacoat. We love her wardrobe, and so do many of you out there!
10. Blair Waldorf
Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl always looked put together. She had tiny hats, cute headbands, gorgeous dresses, and coats. No matter the seasons, Blair was always in style and ready to show off. One of her most memorable outfits for me was when she was in Paris. The red dress she had on was gorgeous and flowed as she walked. Who would not want a lovely gown such as that?
There are so many stylish and fashion-forward characters in shows. Whether we wanted to dress like them in high school or want their wardrobe as adults, we believe this list of ten characters captures various personalities and fantastic fashion!
