They have everything from chili cheese fries to banana pancakes. Dix Coney Island also has options for vegan and vegetarian diets. They are open 24 hours on Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Mondays 12 p.m. to 4 a.m., Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 a.m. This American style restaurant is located on the Denton Square.
Maybe you are in the mood for authentic Mexican food late at night? Drunchies Tacos is open from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. everyday, except Sunday. They serve a variety of Mexican food, as well as burgers. They are not open as late as some of the other restaurants, but they will still be open when you get off of work or out of class.
It has been mentioned before, but that is because it is a Denton classic. Crooked Crust makes some of the best pizza in Denton. You can order a quarter, half or full pizza with unlimited toppings. They are open from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursday to Saturday. Crooked Crust serves pizza, hoagies and salads. This is the newest pizza spot in Denton. Many UNT students and Denton residents may feel a certain loyalty to their beloved Crooked Crust, but it is always good to try new things. This should not stop you from trying it for yourself! Zalat Pizza is located on Hickory St., near campus. They are open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. Along with their cannabis friendly decor, they serve many original options like Pineapple Express, Elote and Loaded Notato.
This is an American classic. Everyone knows about Applebee’s and their low prices. This is the perfect spot for broke college kids with an appetite. Their menu has a wide variety of flavors and dishes, perfect for that one friend who can never make up their mind. They are open everyday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. Save some money between paychecks with a late night dinner at Applebee’s.
Waffle House is a staple late night dinner. It is not unique to Denton, but this one has a special decor. They have decked out their location in UNT gear. Waffle House at 3 a.m. is an iconic moment for any group of besties. It would be a shame to not visit the Denton Waffle House as a UNT student. If health is important to you, hit up the Pita Pit. It is located across the street from campus, so if you need dinner after class or the library, why not try the Pita Pit? They are open everyday until midnight. There are pitas you can choose from, or make your own.
Fat Shack is another restaurant that has been mentioned before, but that just shows how good it is. They are also located near campus, on Elm St. Sunday through Thursday Fat Shack is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m., and on Friday and Saturday they are open till 3 a.m. They serve American classics, like hamburgers, philly cheesesteaks, fries and milkshakes. This late night spot is popular among foodies and nationwide.
If you need a sugar rush to get through a late night, Insomnia Cookies is open until 3 a.m. every night. It is perfect for those night owls with a sweet tooth. Do not worry about not having milk with your cookies because Insomnia also has milk on the menu. They don’t just sell cookies, but all kinds of desserts. Insomnia Cookies also has brownies, ice cream, brownies with ice cream and ice cream sandwiches with cookies as the bread. Share the love, and order either a 6 or twelve pack for your friends. They are on the corner of Fry St., a perfect location for UNT students.
