10 Fun Winter Date Ideas For You And Bub
Winter is tough if you live anywhere in the U.S. aside from the west coast – which in some parts, still gets snow. The winter temperatures have been dropping the past few years to dangerously low numbers, and it’s a drag after a week. Don’t let winter damper your dating life either! Here are fun winter date ideas you and your bub might enjoy – or at least I’d hope so because I would because they are great romantic winter date ideas.
1. Sunset Hot Chocolate
Only recommendation is picking a night that’s not unbearably freezing. It’s a winter picnic. Get a few warm blankets and head to your favorite park. You should absolutely pack some festive winter snacks: Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark, York Peppermint Patties, Junior Mints and hot chocolate accompanied with marshmallows. Sorry but I can’t object to cuddling and hot cocoa. If you don’t think this is qualifies under fun winter date ideas, I don’t know what does.
2. Cooking Classes
I really think this is a fun winter date idea; it’s also a romantic winter date idea and you know it! Since you’re practically confined to the indoors during the winter, a bright kitchen filled with food is the perfect winter remedy. Now is the perfect time to learn how to cook fun dishes. You can buy a one-time cooking class. There are several couple’s cooking classes available. If you don’t want to spend money on a class, you may as well pick up a fun cook book and put your skills to the test.
3. Ice Skating
This is on every fun winter date ideas list and you know it. Why; because it’s fun and a no-fail date idea. Personally, would recommend a pond skate session rather than an indoor rink. The ambiance is way better – and dates are all about that ambiance.
4. Fort Building
Why the fuck not?! You know you loved building a fort when you were younger. It’s always fun channeling your inner-child, especially with your bub. Get a bunch of blankets and sheets and create your own indoor camping ground. You can watch movies and eat popcorn. You can totally understand why it’s on the fun winter date ideas list.
5. Hockey Game
Again, on every fun winter date ideas list but for good reason.
6. Sledding
No explanation needed.
7. Make Gingerbread Houses
Classic fun winter date idea. If you want to make this winter date into one of the more romantic winter date ideas, set the ambiance with candles, a fire and wine. You’re guaranteed to have yourself a good time.
8. Carriage Ride
This is one of those unique fun winter date ideas you shouldn’t pass up. If you live in a big city, or NYC, this is definitely a date you need to do. Cut the cost so it isn’t expensive and enjoy the winter wonderland. Even Groupon might have discounted carriage rides. This is also one of the more romantic winter date ideas for you and your babe.
9. Indoor S’mores
This is such a fun and highly anticipated winter date. What’s not to love about S’more night? Stash some s’mores ingredients in your kitchen and pull them out on a snow storm night. You can absolutely roast them over a non-scented candle or if you’re real legit, a s’more roasting kit. This is one winter date I will absolutely be executing with or without a bub. Similar to the gingerbread date, you can make this into one of the more romantic winter date ideas by setting the mood!
10. Crepes
Obviously you can’t stroll on over to Paris but you can recreate that romantic ambiance. This is one of those easy fun winter date ideas that are never a failure. Find the hottest crepe place in town and make it a date night. Share a Nutella banana and strawberry crepe – or any other for that matter. Get warm apple cider and enjoy yourself!
