10 Drool-Worthy Brunch Recipes To Try This Summer

Brunch has become everyone’s favorite meal of the day, especially on the weekends. Instead of going out and spending money, consider trying to recreate these delicious, mouthwatering brunch recipes in your very own kitchen. Summer time, brunch time. Now that we have an infinite amount of time to relax, rejuvenate and try new experiences, why not make one (or ten) of these drool-worthy brunch recipes!

1. Croque-Monsieur with Poached Eggs

This delicious breakfast sandwich will have your mouth watering for more. From its crispy toasted bread to the gooeyness of the poached egg placed delicately on top, your taste buds will be dancing while eating this brunch plate. Get the recipe here.

2. Blueberry Banana Greek Yogurt Pancakes

Pancakes are an essential staple to an all-American breakfast. But this new and modern take on traditional pancakes will surely satisfy your brunch cravings. While they aren’t quite Jack Johnson’s famous banana pancakes, they are a healthier version that pack a ton of flavor. Instead of adding whole milk to your pancake batter, this edition opts for greek yogurt to jazz up the delectable treat.

3. Very Vanilla French Toast

A list of brunch recipes wouldn’t be complete without a french toast option! This very vanilla french toast dish is the perfect way to wake up your taste buds on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Some may ask why is this recipe different from any other typical french toast recipe? Well the answer lies in the extra dose (¼ cup) of vanilla. Enjoy this yummy brunch recipe dusted with powdered sugar and maple syrup.

4. Dungeness Eggs Benedict with Lemon Hollandaise

If you like traditional eggs benedict recipes, you’re going to love this coastal twist, especially all you seafood lovers. By adding succulent Dungeness crab meat to the top of your freshly toasted English muffin and the perfectly poached egg, you instantly create an unforgettable brunch dish. Also, the lemon dill hollandaise sauce adds the perfect tangy kick.

5. Cheesy Shrimp and Grits

Looking for brunch recipes of the southern variety? Then you must include this traditional breakfast…with a indulgent modern twist! Gooey melted sharp cheddar cheese, bacon and of course shrimp will leave you full and satisfied.

6. Breakfast Scramble with Italian Sausage

A simple breakfast scramble can do no wrong when it comes to brunch. Substitute chicken sausage for the suggested Italian to keep things nice and healthy. While making your scramble, you can add a multitude of fresh ingredients such as chopped spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers and even some freshly grated cheese. Get the recipe here.

One of my personal favorite breakfast dished, huevos rancheros, is the perfect way to satisfy your Mexican food cravings in the morning. The simple, yet very flavorful dish is the perfect starter for a beginner brunch chef, and a great one to master for family and friends to try. If you’re looking for a little extra kick, try adding spicy chorizo or adding some jalapeños to top the dish off.

8. Frozen Peach Bellini

To accompany any one of these great brunch recipes, blend up a frozen peach Bellini with a fresh peach on the side. This refreshing drink will be great on a hot summer morning, especially since peaches are in season.

9. Strawberry Cream Mimosa

By far, the most well-known brunch drink, a mimosa is the perfect libation to serve at a brunch party, or even just breakfast with a couple of friends. Take the simple recipe to the next level with this sinfully sweet version – concocted with frozen berries, cream and honey!

10. The Ultimate Bloody Mary

It has been called “the world’s most complex cocktail,” but I’d call it “the world’s most delicious cocktail!” Often times a meal in itself, bloody marys are essential to any brunch. Combining many savory ingredients such as Tabasco sauce, Horseradish, Worcestershire sauce and smoked paprika are sure to provide a “kick” to your morning taste buds (and help fend off any lingering hangover.
