10 Different Essential Oils Blends To Add To Your Diffuser

Essential oils have so many great health benefits. They can help relieve stress and anxiety, help prevent sicknesses, get rid of headaches, and so much more. My favorite way to use essential oils is to diffuse them. Not only do you get the great aromatherapy benefits, but it will make your space smell great too.

You can buy a diffuser at Target, Amazon, Walmart, or anywhere that sells essential oils. To use, you plug it in, fill it with water, and add a few drops of your oils. Keep reading for 10 ideas of different blends you should try out. Please note – all oils mentioned today are from the brand Young Living, but you can purchase any of these from different brands. Just make sure they are 100% pure essential oil before purchasing!

1. Peppermint Oil, Lemon Oil, and Lavender Oil

This blend of essential oils is great to diffuse when you are having allergies. Lavender and Peppermint oils are great for reducing inflammation, and Lemon can assist with reducing congestion and clearing sinuses.

I recommend doing equal parts of each oil, two drops of each should be perfect!

2. Vetiver Oil, Lavender Oil, and Cedarwood Oil

This blend is my holy grail for sleep. I diffuse it almost every night. Lavender is a very popular oil to use for sleep, as it helps to lower the heart rate and reduce anxiety. Adding Cedarwood and Vetiver oils to the mix will take it to the next level. Cedarwood is said to have natural sedative qualities, and Vetiver is amazing for relieving stress at the end of the day.

3. Clove Oil, Orange Oil, Ginger Oil, and Cinnamon Bark Oil

This blend smells great and is perfect for Fall. It will make your room smell exactly like spiced cider. To create this blend in your diffuser, add one drop of the Clove, Ginger, and Cinnamon Bark oils, and then two drops of the Orange oil.

4. Lemon Oil, Lavender Oil, and Lime Oil

This is a great blend to create that clean scent. Whenever your room is not smelling fresh, put these oils in your diffuser and it will help take away any odors. The recipe for this blend is 3 drops of Lemon oil, 2 drops of Lavender, and 1 drop of Lime.

5. Grapefruit, Orange, Geranium, Lime and Northern Lights Black Spruce Oils

If you are an avid Anthropologie shopper, then you probably have heard of the volcano candle. If you have not, it is basically a super popular candle scent from Anthropologie, but it is on the pricier side. Luckily, this blend of essential oils is an amazing dupe for that scent. The recipe for this one is 5 drops of Grapefruit, 5 of Orange, 4 of Lime, 3 of Geranium and 3 of Northern Lights Black Spruce.

6. Stress Away Oil Blend and Cinnamon Bark Oil

Here is another candle dupe for you guys. Bath and Body Works has always been my favorite place to shop candles and my number 1 favorite candle is Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla. I burn this one year round, and if you have never smelt it, it smells like cinnamon sugar donuts.

This blend only consists of two oils; stress away and cinnamon bark. Stress Away is a special blended oil, which is made up of Copaiba, Lime, Cedarwood, Vanilla, Ocotea, and Lavender. It is a great oil blend to have in your collection because it is great for so many different things.

To create Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla in your diffuser, add equal parts of Stress Away and Cinnamon Bark. 2-3 drops is just enough!

7. Spearmint Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, and Vanilla Oil

This is one of my favorite blends to diffuse at night time. It is perfect for relaxation. Some people like to have it going when they are doing a spa night for themselves. The recipe for this blend is five drops of Spearmint oil, 2 drops of Eucalyptus oil, and 1 drop of Vanilla.

8. Lavender Oil and Peppermint Oil

Lavender and Peppermint are great to diffuse when you have a headache. Peppermint contains menthol, which is known to help relax muscles and ease pain. Lavender oil is especially good for migraines, because it instills calm and reduces stress.

When I have a headache, I like to plug my diffuser in next to my nightstand, and lay in bed next to it with my eyes closed. Usually it only takes a few minutes before I start to feel better!

The recipe for creating this headache blend is two drops of Lavender oil, and three drops of Peppermint oil.

9. Panaway Oil Blend and Stress Away Oil Blend

This blend is a fun one. It smells just like a root beer float. Both of these oils are blends made by Young Living, but you can find other versions of them made by other brands as well. We looked at Stress Away earlier, but Panaway oil consists of Clove, Helichrysum, Peppermint, and Wintergreen.

To create the amazing root beer float smell, combine equal parts of the two oils into your diffuser. Two to three drops is the perfect amount!

10. Thieves Blend, Peppermint Oil, Frankincense Oil, and Lemon Oil

This blend is great for when you feel a cold coming on. All of these oils have different benefits, but reducing congestion, clearing sinuses, and relieving a sore throat are the main ones this blend will help you with.

Thieves oil is another blend made from Young Living, yet other brands make similar versions. Thieves is very popular for immune support. It is one of my most used oils.

This blend smells wonderful, and when I start feeling sick, I diffuse it during the night to help me breathe better. The recipe for this one is two drops of Lemon, 1 of Frankincense, 1 of Peppermint, and 1 of Thieves.
