Pinterest is great and everything, and so are professional pieces of artwork. But don’t underestimate your own photo-taking! Those selfies with your friends, pictures of your cat, a gorgeous sunset at that one vineyard you went to… all those are golden for decorating your apartment!
Let’s start basic – all those photos on your phone can be easily downloaded to a website that will have the photos printed for you! Pick the best ones and send them off; it’s usually only a few cents per print to have them developed.
Two words: Photo. Collage. So you have a lot of memories and you want them all on display. Cover a whole wall with photos using just sticky tack (and a little bit of patience). Not only will you smile every time you look at it, all your guests will be super impressed by your decorating skills!
3. If you don’t want to mess with sticking anything to your wall, find a largeish corkboard and some cute pins. Cut your photos into different shapes to fit the size of the board and hang it on that lonely nail on the wall. Just don’t stick pins into your friends’ faces, they might get offended!
Meet my good friend, fairy lights. Get a string of plain yellow lights and hang your photos in between the lights. Not only will you have a unique way of lighting your room, you’ll have a special place for all your photos!
Who says clothespins are only for clothes? Get the mini version and a piece of twine and hang it from corner to corner. Anything can go on here, from landscapes to selfies!
Find a quote you love and make it a wall decal; a symbol of all the great times you’ve had with your loved ones!
First of all, if you haven’t seen the show, stop reading now and go watch it. Second, now that we’re all on the same page, get inspired by the show! Use the Friends logo to describe you and all your best friends!
We all know Shutterfly does a great photo mug, but have you ever seen their photo throw pillows?? I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a photo of my cat printed on there so that I’ll always have her to cuddle with!
Putting filters on your photos has never been easier since Instagram came along. Throw a black and white filter on one of your best photos and blow it up. Large artwork always makes people think that it’s professionally done!
