Watching television has always been one of the best past times in the world. From watching shows that have to relate to action, horror, romance, comedy, and drama. But let’s not forget that with every tv show, there is always one character who is seen as the star of the show. Here are 10 of the coolest television characters of all time.
You must have been living in a cave if you don’t know who “Stewie Griffin” is. Recognized for his crude humor, Stewie Griffin has been the main star of the American sitcom show Family Guy. What makes Stewie such a national treasure is that he has such a high intellect similar to an adult, but he is only just a toddler. Think about it, how often is it you see a 1-year-old child who knows who to form coherent sentences, drink like an adult, and of course let’s not forget that this little child is stocked up on weapons. Do not underestimate this toddler!
Speaking of crude humor, have you ever seen an alien who has the same personality as a lazy individual? If you have, you would know that this person would be “Roger Smith” from American Dad. What is funny about Roger Smith is that his personality is not what you would expect from most aliens. Instead of being this highly intelligent interdimensional being, Roger comes across almost very reminiscent of a housewife who is always drinking, watching daytime television, and trying to look the best dressed in the house. Just because Roger is an alien doesn’t mean he can be petty.
Joey Tribbiani, played by Matt LeBlanc may come across as being a little slow and certainly not the brightest person in the friend group. But he’s totally loyal, somehow able to make a living as an actor and the best looking of the male “Friends,” which did not hurt in the lady’s department. His famed catchphrase “How you doin” should be up there with some of the best catchphrases in TV history.
Even though he passed away at such a young age, “Bernie Mac” was more than just seen as one of the legendary kings of comedy. Bernie Mac was the star of his show back in the early 2000s titled of course, “The Bernie Mac Show”. In this show, Bernie keeps it real showing off his comedic roles while trying to keep sanity in his house raising 3 kids. This show will always keep Bernie Mac’s acting legacy alive.
Other than being recognized as the star of the movie Bad Boys and being one of the best stand-up comedians in the world. “Martin Lawrence”, thought it was time to take his performance skills to the next level in acting. In 1992, his comedy show Martin aired. What makes Martin so valued in this show is that he pretty much has no filter when it comes to his crude comedic humor making fun of people, random cursing, and of course his role of playing multiple characters.
Let me tell you something, if you thought that Stewie is a sick demented child, you don’t know how cray “Bart Simpson” can be. If anything, Bart was the first crazy reckless childhood long before Stewie Griffin was causing trouble. Like father like son, Bart Simpson takes after his father’s dumb and crazy antics and cannot resist the thrill of causing trouble throughout the streets of his hometown and school. Don’t be surprised if one day this crazy kid hits you in the back of the head with his signature slingshot.
Nowadays, most kids today would not understand child prodigy acting. Frankie Muniz’s role as the main character of Malcolm in the Middle was 100 percent spot on. A lot of people may not know it, but when it comes to being the middle child of the family, that person is always stuck with so much more crap to deal with. Frankie Muniz displays this as he plays the middle child of a broken family who is constantly dealing with so much drama from his family.
In the large world of Adventure Time, important characters can do the most to make you laugh or cry. But for the 1000-year-old vampire rock star queen Marceline played by Olivia Olson, can be a real standout. Introduced early on in the show, Marceline comes across as this person with a smooth jazzy bass-strummed guitar player. As chilled laid back as she is, what makes her so unique is discovering her deep past about how she became a vampire, her intertwined past with the Ice King, and her love interest with Princess Bubblegum. Out of all the main characters in adventure Time, Marceline’s characters flood the audience’s interests.
The samurai hero warrior recognized throughout Earth’s future as, simply, “Jack,” who wears shiny robes and carries a magic sword is soo cool. The idea of this character voiced by Phil Lamar is to base childhood fascination with the cultural aspects of the samurai, the bushido code, and martial arts. Jack who was transported from feudal Japan to the future must defeat Aku to find his way back home. No matter what obstacle that Jack has to go through, he always comes out on top looking soo cool in the end.
Thank The Walking Dead, one of the most-watched dramas in TV history, for bringing us Steven Yeun in the form of Glen, the coolest guy in the entire zombie apocalypse. What made Glenn so special is that he was always working to patch up disagreements, provide everyone with supplies on dangerous missions for useful resources, and generally stuck his neck out for others because he believed in the goodness of people. His empathy, compassion, and breezy sense of humor, despite everything, made him an obvious fan favorite and one of the few gleaming bright spots in a world blanketed in despair. Glenn was the one who brought hope to the group.
