10 Albums That You Should Have Already Listened To

As music lovers, album releases and musical projects by our favorite artists are the epitome of happiness especially on a Friday (if you know, you know!). You might have listened to everything that your favorite artist or group has released, but have you given these musical gems a listen? Some well-known artists are sometimes known for their one great album, but you have to dig through their entire discography to hear what else they have! Here are 10 albums that you have already listened to!

1. Melodrama by Lorde

If you are an earbuds lover, then this album is for you and your listening pleasure! Filled with the heavy emotions of friendship, loss, and love, Melodrama gives a pop sound to the heavy lyrics by Lorde and Jack Antonoff. Some would say that this album is a concept album based on the happenings of a house party.

The writer describes the album experience as all of the feelings at a house party. At one point you are completely feeling this song playing, laughing, and dancing with everyone around you. But next, you are standing alone in a bathroom, staring at yourself in the mirror. The ups and downs of your early 20s and house parties are perfectly conveyed in this great album that will have you memorizing lyrics and falling for Lorde!

2. The 20/20 Experience by Justin Timberlake

Ex boyband heartthrob, Justin Timberlake brought the music industry another album with a large selection of music genres for our listening ears! We would have to describe it as one of those albums that each of the songs seamlessly melts into one another throughout the entire album. The songs take you on one large journey with each of the songs representing one stop on the journey.

Notably, Jay-Z makes an appearance on the album in a collaboration on the hit single for this album. With themes of love and romance, Timberlake follows in the footsteps of other great artists and their 10-minute songs with a handful of 5+ minute tracks on this fantastic album that you need to add to your queue ASAP!

4. Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die! by Panic! At The Disco

You might recognize this group from all of your playlists from your angsty junior and high school days. We know that we do! Panic! released this album in 2013 as their fourth album as a group, falling into the pop and alternative genre.

Like all great albums, the tracks are very upbeat with pop vibes, but the lyrics are what hit you the hardest! This was a new stepping stone for Panic! and the music the group was creating, but if you like other songs and albums from the band, you will especially love this one!

5. Younger Now by Miley Cyrus

Anything that Miley has created in her career is definitely worth a listen, but this album has to be one of our faves and one that you definitely should have listened to already! The beautiful thing about the creation of this album was that Miley sat down and used the influence of her roots and upbringing to inspire the music.

We all know and love the younger Miley during her Hannah Montana days and this album is pretty close to that sound with a more grown-up tone to it! This album features another musical queen, Dolly Parton to really set up the country-pop vibe that this great album has!

6. Golden Hour by Kacey Musgraves

Country sweetheart, Kacey Musgraves managed to write the country album that had us all buying glittery cowboy boots and sequined hats to match the feeling of falling in love that this album put out! The fourth album written by Kacey, this one featured songs dedicated to her own mother and ex-husband as well as tracks that emanated love for the earth and for people.

We think that this album is the perfect soundtrack for your summer with the windows down and blaring out the window for everyone else to hear! While we wait for Kacey to release her fifth album, this will definitely hold us over.
