10 Airport Essentials To Bring With You On Your Next Vacation
Preparing for a vacation can be stressful. We all know what it is like to feel like you are forgetting something as you are running out the door. Luckily, I have curated a list for you to follow to make sure this does not happen on your next trip. Here are ten airport essentials to bring with you on your next vacation!
1. Tote Bag/Purse
Having a decent-sized bag to hold all of your other airport essentials is vital. Make sure it is a bag that is comfortable to carry around with you!
These bags should be able to fit in the overhead of the airplane or under the seat in front of you. I always take bags that can fit my laptop, along with other smaller necessities. The Longchamp bag below is the bag I always use for trips. I love it!

2. Hydroflask
A water bottle is one of the most important airport essentials to bring with you! Do not waste your money on an overpriced plastic water bottle from the airport. Bring an empty Hydroflask with you and fill it up when you get to your gate. A lot of airports now have water bottle filling stations.
Hydroflasks come in a bunch of different colors and sizes. You can get a 32-ounce Hydroflask for around $45 and it will last you for years. Plus, they will keep your water nice and cold for several hours!

3. Portable Charger
If you are planning on being on your phone or listening to music throughout your flight, then you need to bring a portable charger with you. A lot of airports do not have an open charging station, and having a portable charger will take away the added stress of needing to find a way to charge your phone.
These are small enough to fit inside of your bag, and they are great to have during your vacation as well. Trust me, you will be glad you brought one.

4. Airpods
Another one of our airport essentials is headphones. Whether you are planning on listening to music, watching a tv show or movie, or just want to block out some noise, you need headphones!
Airpods are great because they are easy to use and you will not have to deal with those annoying headphone wires in your way during your flight. While the bigger, over-the-ear headphones can be great, they can get uncomfortable really fast. Airpods are great if you find yourself having that problem.
Make sure you remember to charge your AirPods the night before!

5. Slides
The thought of wearing uncomfortable shoes while at the airport or on a flight is dreadful. Slides are perfect to wear, making them an important addition to this list of airport essentials. They are comfy, and you can easily slip them on and off.
A lot of brands are coming out with slides these days, so there are so many different ones to choose from. You can buy a pair for yourself for around $20. Black slides are my personal favorite because they match with every outfit!
Plus, if your feet get cold, you can easily slip on a pair of socks.

6. A Notebook
A notebook is great for many things, and is definitely one of the airport essentials. Let’s be real, you are going to get bored while sitting around at the airport or on a long flight. You may need a break from staring at the screen of your phone or laptop during a multi-hour flight.
You can doodle in the notebook, write, or jot down your itinerary for your vacation! You can buy notebooks for as cheap as $1. Personally, I love the ones with cute designs on the front. Do not forget pens and markers!

7. Hand Sanitizer
Of course, hand sanitizer is on our list of airport essentials. When you travel, you touch so many different things that other people have also touched. Door knobs, bathrooms, seats, handrails, etc. Plus, you do not always have access to a sink to wash your hands. That is why hand sanitizer is SO important to have. You do not want to get sick right when your vacation is starting!

8. A Comfy Sweatshirt
Even if you are traveling in the summertime and are going somewhere warm, you should still bring a sweatshirt with you. It can get SO cold in airports and on planes.
Your sweatshirt can also double as a blanket too, so that is why I consider it an important airport essential. There is nothing worse than being uncomfortable during a long flight. Taking a sweatshirt with you can help maximize your comfort.

9. Cleansing Wipes
Your skin might suffer from the recycled air on airplanes. You can help your skin out with some cleansing wipes. These wipes can remove stubborn makeup, and wipe away dirt and sweat.
These are perfect because they are super easy to use. You do not need to use any water for them, meaning you can use them on a plane or at the airport without getting up to go to the bathroom.
There are a ton of cleansing wipes you can choose from, depending on your skin’s needs. My personal favorite is from the brand Simple.
10. Lotion
The recycled air can also make your skin feel like the Sahara desert. Bringing lotion with you will help you out. Make sure you are taking a mini size that abides by TSA guidelines.
My favorite lotions are from Bath and Body Works. They offer more scents than you can even imagine. They also have mini sizes of almost all of their lotions. Bath and Body Works has great BODY lotions, so do not use them on your face! I recommend bringing a separate face moisturizer to use.
