Gamedays are always a great time here at SDSU. With the tailgates, barbecues, and super lit student sections, what’s to keep you from going? Not to mention, it’s a great opportunity to get dressed up and show your Aztec pride. Unsure of what to wear? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with 10 adorable gameday outfits at SDSU.
It’s undeniable that a nice cold beer is a part of your gameday outfit, so make sure to wear something you don’t mind getting a little dirty. SDSU t-shirts and tanks will be nice and dry by the time you’re done tailgating and heading in to the stadium. When else will you have the chance to put a cute girl on your shoulders and have her pour beer into your mouth?

Alum support is super strong here at SDSU, so you gotta make sure they’re swagged out in their Aztec gear as well. Bring the family along for even more gameday fun, no excuses for anyone not to rep State, though. If you’re feeling it, why not get some matching gear as well? Once an Aztec, always an Aztec!

Have an old Aztec shirt sitting in the back of your drawer that your mom bought you at freshman year orientation? (We all do, don’t lie.) Make it trendy by cutting it into a crop top! Want to be even more crafty? Cut out the middle and fill it in with lacing, it’s the biggest gameday trend right now, I can tell you that with confidence. These make the cutest and most unique gameday outfits at SDSU!
Mind if I throw in a little self-promo? Didn’t think so. Take note from these super cute and trendy gameday outfits. Tying an oversized SD top on the side makes it a little cuter and a little cooler since it’s still 90 degrees out. (That love/hate relationship with San Diego, am I right?) I love to finish off my gameday outfit with a fresh pair of Adidas, because we all know the high-top white converse are for fratting.
It’s pretty sunny out here at these games, so sunglasses are a must. The classic black Ray Ban is a must for guys, as you can see here. If you have a hat to throw on, even better! It’s important to protect yourself out here in good ol’ sunny California. Afterall, we don’t have any of this “cloudy” nonsense to keep us shaded. Are we really complaining though? I think not.

As often as sunglasses are used primarily for shade, they definitely can be used as a fashion statement, as well. The current go-to trend for shades are the colored, mirrored Quay-style sunglasses. And if you’re not ready to shell out the $60 for the Australian goodies, you can find the same style at basically any clothing or accessory store. Because let’s be honest, are you really going to make it back to your dorm without damaging or even losing your shades? Buy them cheap and have them stocked up for those future games!

Temporary tattoos are a great way to spice up your gameday outfit! Put them on your face for the perfect touch on your everyday selfie. Why stop there? Deck out on your arms, shoulders, and wherever else you feel so inclined to use as a billboard for your SDSU pride! Buy a pack and share them with your friends, and you’ve got low cost and super adorable gameday outfits at SDSU.
One of my personal favorite gameday outfits of all is the cheerleader skirt. It’s absolutely adorable, and super adjustable to any outfit! Wear it with a sports bra or crop top and stay cool in the scorching sun, or tuck in a t shirt or tank for the perfect amount of style and Aztec pride! Black and red overalls are also a super stylish way to spice up your gameday outfit!

What better way to rep your Greek Organization than to wear it on your shirt on gameday? Many fraternities host their own tailgates, and it’s a great way to hang out and get hyped with your friends before heading in to the game. Frat shirts are definitely a great choice for gameday outfits, and also work to distract from the beer you spilled on your shorts, oops!
Last but not least, the most adorable of all gameday outfits has to go to the cheerleaders! There’s no one else with more Aztec pride than the gorgeous girls (and guys) on the sidelines, getting the crowd ridiculously hyped for the game. Repping the scarlet, black and white, as well as the super cute bows… there’s no fighting this one. The cheerleaders take away #1 most adorable gameday outfit!
SDSU games are always a great time! It may be a struggle to finesse some tickets, but anyone can agree it’s well worth it. There are so many options on ways to dress for gamedays, and these 10 adorable gameday outfits at SDSU are sure fire ways to look cute and still be able to take on the slips and spills. Go Aztecs!
